Newly built guesthouse with all the character of a peaceful country cottage!

Located 5 miles outside of town in the beautiful flint hills of Kansas. Peaceful yet close to the fun vibes that can be found in Emporia, founding city of Veteran’s Day and home of the world renown Unbound Gravel Bike Race and disc golf capital. Our guesthouse is the perfect place to be whether you enjoy hiking, biking, fishing or reading a book on the bench overlooking the pond. The Red Barn Guesthouse has a beautiful kitchen fully equipped with new appliances, an in-house laundry room along with 3 private bedrooms. The first two bedrooms are located on the main level. The third bedroom is located in a sleeping loft and is accessed by a library ladder. This space is the perfect spot for the young or the young at heart! Additional amenities include the following
- Duel Keurig coffee pot - inflatable toddler bed - WIFI - large flat screen smart tv - 2 electric fireplaces - individually controlled heating/ cooling units in each room - fire pit - mowed walking paths - fishing pond - disc golf and a paddle boat.

Cindy, was a fabulous host. Incredibly accommodating to every request we had for our stay and there were many. The home is well maintained and really feels brand new! The kitchen and amenities are perfect to prepare a large meal. The home is nicely located and within minutes of grocery stores or other shopping you may need to do. Lastly when Cindy created the home she thoughtfully made it handicap accessible, making the home perfect for our friend.

Perfect Home Base

The guesthouse was a perfect home base for our family while attending our nephew’s wedding. It was clean, welcoming and had everything we needed for our stay. Loved that it had 4 king sized beds and a large kitchen/family room. The guys had some success fishing in the pond! Cindy was excellent to work with. She was friendly, hospitable and quick to answer questions.
