Please buy me and give me an overhaul!

We stayed here a good few years ago and we thought it was lovely. Always spoke about going back and we finally did. It was a 3 star with finesse and friendlyness back then but now it is a 1 star with the mask of a 3 star. The only thing keeping the place going are the sound bar staff, lovely breakfast staff and security or duty manager. The receptionist needs to reconsider her career choice. More friendliness and character in a in a rock on the beach. Will happily twice the price more to stay in a nicer place.

Too noisy for me.

Hotel is ok, not horrible but not great. My first room overlooked the smoking area so I was kept awake by people chatting. I asked for and got a room change but the noise from the pipes and taps in adjacent bathrooms was enough to wake me up. If it wasn’t that, it was doors slamming closed in the passage. I was in for 4 nights and slept badly on all of them. The hotel is dated and could use refurbishment along with improved soundproofing and soft door closing

COVID 19 HSE Ireland non compliant

I booked into this hotel as a key worker moving from site to site for the Irish national infrastructure. On arrival, I truthfully completed the "covid 19 questionnaire" which asked if I had been on the island of Ireland for the past 14 days. On seeing "no" on the sheet, the receptionist (quite rightly) called her manager for advice. His advice was, you can't stay here! No probing, no questions... You can't stay here! I was quoted HSE Ireland website restrictions but still no questions. I live in the UK and had gone home for a break after working non stop for 3 months through the pandemic, I was tired and hungry when I arrived at 8pm having worked all day since 6am for you and to keep your utilities going, yes, I had only been back in Ireland for a day (working on national infrastructure) having had a short break at home with my family? But I explained this, I was honest with you and you wouldn't listen. Now I know how Joseph and Mary felt!!!!

A very pleasent stay.

My Wife, and Myself had a very good stay in The Auburn Lodge Hotel. The Hotel was very central to a lot of sights around that area. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The food was very good, and they had a great choice on their menu.

There was not a single thing we did not like about the Auburn Lodge Hotel and Leisure Centre. Our weekend in Ennis was enhanced by the friendliness and courtesy of the staff from those that checked us in at the front desk to those who served our breakfast to those wonderful staff who cleaned our room.

All staff very welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and clean and showers were hot. Unfortunately the whole place smells of "hotel perfume". That very strong smell that covers any other smell. Had a bad experience during our stay since the guests in another room were smoking and night staff didn't do anything about it. Had to keep the window open all night in order to be able to breathe in our room.
