Guesthouse
Relax off the beaten path but close to conveniences! We are located within 8 miles to Maker’s Mark and Limestone Branch Distilleries, and 17 miles to Bardstown. We do live in the main house on the farm, detached and private from this unit. It makes us the perfect getaway for 2 adults! (This unit has a maximum capacity of 2 adults with no exceptions) We pride ourselves on making this affordable, beautiful property, the perfect choice for your bourbon adventure. Of special note: If you are looking to be close to town then this probably isn’t for you. We are about 3.5 miles to a grocery store and 10 miles to Lebanon which is the largest town in the area with a Walmart.
This area is remote and surrounded by woods, creeks, and ponds. We do our absolute best to keep pests away from the residence but, unfortunately, they get in from time to time. We also have chickens that roam around and 3 cats that love people and tend to be lacking in manners.
While the internet works great most all the time, this property is in the country, with very limited options for service, outages can happen and are completely beyond our control. If you MUST have internet for your stay, we suggest you take this into consideration. Refunds will not be given for internet outage.
We do allow one dog, under 50lbs, with a pet fee of $30.00 per stay. We ask that you crate the dog when away and not allow the dog on the furniture. This rental is not appropriate for children, and has an absolute maximum capacity of two adults with no exceptions.
If you are looking for a clean, peaceful, relaxing getaway with plenty privacy then this is for you.

Location is remote but very easy to find with GPS and very convenient to our destinations. Very clean, well equipped and well maintained rental. This is a very good rental!
This place was off the beaten path in a great way! It was so scenic and we loved the peace and beauty. They had anything you could think of for your stay. It’s perfect for two people!

We had a wonderful stay. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Host was very responsive. Out in the country, but easy drive to all things bourbon. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this location.
We loved this property. It was about 15-20 minutes from our activities in Bardstown and New Haven but the drives were scenic. Beautiful property in the country. Very peaceful with lots of nature surrounding. It was very cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
This was exactly what we were looking for. Nice quiet place away from things but still close to Bardstown. Having towels and a coffee pot was so nice too.
This place was great! You can tell that they put a lot of thought into it. It's well stocked, they have everything that you could need. The house was very clean and comfortable. Iwould definitely stay here again.
My hubby and I were returning to Ohio from Gatlinburg and figured this would be a nice location to take a break fro the long drive and visit a distillery at the same time. We thoroughly enjoyed our “home for the night”, it was clean and very comfy. We appreciated the owners working with our rather uncertain schedule/travel time frame.
It is a great place. Love seeing the wildlife in the morning and evenings. It is quiet. It is far enough away you don’t get bothered by city life but close enough to not have to drive out of your way for anything. I would definitely stay again. Nicely done place, comfortable, has everything you need to stay for a weekend or a week. Great host.
This little place is a gem. Peaceful nature at its best. Close by in Raywick there is a neat little burger bar. In Lebanon, there are a couple more local pubs and everything you can ask for. We used this place as base camp for the Kentucky Gun Season and it could not have been more perfect.
I think this is stay number 5 for us. We visit twice a year. We love the space. Quite. Plenty of room for the two of us. Always clean. The owners are great to work with. There is nothing bad about the location or soace. Will be returning in July for another stay.
We loved this property! We scheduled and then needed to add our four legged kids and they allowed us to with no problems. We were very comfortable and they had so many extras that have never been provided when staying at other VRBO's. The deer and turkeys we seen were a side benefit for my husband. We appreciate the chance to stay and we would like to again sometime.
A wonderful place to stay within the rolling hills in bourbon country. Beautiful deer wandering through the yard were a sports man’s dream. Fun loving concierge cats made us feel right at home, welcoming and seeing us safely out. The home away from home was very comfortable and clean decorated with local and seasonal flares. The home has everything needed for a stay including thoughtful caring management. Highly recommend. It’s a wonderful oasis.
We were visiting our son and family. This property is a perfect fit for 1 or 2 people. It is country living, peace and quiet. If you are doing the bourbon trail, short distance to Heaven Hill, Makers Mark, Jim Beam and others. Greeted with a special treat upon arrival and they also stock plenty of extra toiletries if needed.
We will return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The guesthouse is cozy without being confining. It is very tastefully decorated with quality furnishings. Kelli anticipated her guest's needs and supplied ample amenities from coffee and half 'n half to glassware, dishes, cookware, towels, soap, etc.
It also proved to be a good central location for us. We were quite close to Maker's Mark Distillery, the Abbey at Gethsemane and a lovely Catholic church in the town dating from 1837. The local Backroad Burger restaurant had awesome food. All in all, it can't be beat! We will return.
My husband and I stayed for a week. It was a nice stay. We had everything we needed. The only thing is that the driveway was unexpectedly steep for me. We just aren't used to driveways like that in MS. Overall though, the visit was good and any problem/communication that was needed, was handled promptly.
My husband and I went on an impromptu weekend stay for his Birthday and stayed two nights. Definitely off the map, but if you don't mind the drive to town/ distilleries it's ideal for the folks looking for a quiet weekend stay in the woods.
Backroads were full of twists and turns with lots of beautiful farms with cows to see. We didn't get to spend a lot of time on the property other than sleeping but we did see lots of deer as we came back or left the property.
Super clean and has the small stuff a hotel would have and more. They definitely care about you and your stay. Totally worth the extra drive out of town!
This spot was purrfect for my hubby and myself. Really enjoyed hanging with the outside kitties. If I didn’t already have 5 at home, I may have “borrowed” the big gray cat. The accommodations were everything we could have asked for. The bed was super comfortable. Beautiful place in the country…even got delayed on the road due to a calf getting out of a pasture down the road. Did get to see some deer in the yard the first night. A basic direct route into Bardstown and easy to get to the Amp concert venue at Log Still distillery. Would definitely stay here again. Peaceful and quiet setting.
Had an amazing time, beautiful property, and excellent accommodations! We stayed for 5 days and took advantage of the peacefull nature and tranquillity of the property. Host had the unit well stocked including firewood. We enjoyed seeing the deer daily and relaxing by a fire at night. The bed had a new memory foam mattress and the softest sheets, my back thanks you for not skimping. There was a washer and dryer if needed and a tankless water heater for endless hot water, oh and great water pressure too!! They do allow dogs so I was worried prior to booking about a dog smell with my allergies, but there was none. It was amazing clean and fresh, Kelli takes pride in her home. Thanks, we will be back!
