It was not busy varry friendly Does not bother u they have some weekly monthly rates not picky about check out time it's a little rusty looking out side but Vary clean and comfortable i injoy it better then the other hotel much more friendly

New owners will hopefully make needed improvements. The owner’s son was nice and helpful but the property was too dirty for us to stay. We ended up checking out. And were denied a refund.

We didn't stay, couldn't get the manager to answer the door and unknown if we will get our $ back. Gas pumps and store are closed. There are folks there but where the manager was who knows. Won't entertain staying there ever again.

Staff was never available when needed. They didn't have my reservation and tried to give me the wrong room twice. Had to track someone down for check-in and checkout. As well whenever I used the microwave it flipped the breaker for the room. Had to track down the owner to get it reset.

Very dissatisfied with this place overall.

We booked over a month before we arrived, 700 km drive, arrived 6:30 in the evening. The manager came out and took my wife up to the second floor to a room. He opened the door and the room had not been cleaned. He told her i will upgrade you to another. The next room looked reasonable so we decided we would move our luggage in then go for dinner next door. When we returned my grandson turned down the sheets on one of the beds and found a couple of dead ants on the sheets. He then decided that he wanted to sleep on the couch. He went over and pulled back the sheets on the second bed and shouted there are bugs here. We went and looked and could clearly see a bug crawling between the sheet and the comforter. My wife called the mgr. and told him what we found and he arrived in a couple of minutes. We told him we couldn't stay and he said sorry and told my wife to please call expedia and get a refund so we left and called Hotels.com and explained what happened. They then called to the motel and by then the manager decided to refuse arefund for that night. I advised Hotels.com that they should not represent this place as it is a dive, there was nobody else staying there, it is really run down, the stairs to the second floor are rickety, nearly unsafe to walk on. Hotels.com was great and did deal with some of the issues directly with the owner of the Journeyman motel. I am disgusted with this experience after the manager told us to call and get a refund right away, then refused it.

Weekend Motel Stay

We travelled to Entwistle for a family event and booked a few rooms at the Journeyman Inn Motel. We had a suite which had lots of room for our 4 person family. The Manager was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms have had new flooring (no carpets) and other updates done. Not sure if this was recent and if the rooms are still being upgraded or not. Beds were comfortable. The coffee pot in the room didn't work. Unfortunately I forgot to mention this to the Manager. When I called the Motel to ask how late we could check-in, I noted that they didn't have a voicemail box set up but when we arrived for check-in at 10 pm there was someone at the front desk. I did mention this and they didn't seem to be aware that it wasn't set up. I would think this would be now resolved. Based on the reasonable price range of the rooms we weren't expecting a lot but we were pleased overall and our stay was comfortable.

It was absolutely disgusting. They gave us the wrong room which had stained sheets,gravel in tbe bed and hair all over pillows. Then when i told the guy he gave us a room he was in that was also disgusting We slept in our car. Unbelievable. Very unhealthy

Close to where I was going. Booked a kitchenette/smoking room. Microwave and fridge only. No coffee maker./ hair dryer. Plug in bathroom not working. Rug is covered with cigarette burns, no ashtray. Lighting poor. Toilet partially plugged.

The Motelmis dated, with the bed past it’s usesfilness for support. The carpets we’re stained from orciius careless renters. The lamps which were four of which only two had bulbs. The bathroom was the cleanest and most up to date of the room The operators were most courteous andmprofessional

Hoping the renovations continue?!

The staff truly wanted to make things better and ensure a good experience, but when we pulled back the bedding and found stained sheets and black marks on the pillow, I'm afraid we just didn't feel we could stay with our family. We packed up and drove 37 minutes to the next larger town and found a cleaner place. The staff really DID want to please, but I'm afraid they lost our business as it just was not clean at ALL.

Convenient to Pembina River Provincial Park

We needed a place to stay close to Pembina River Provincial Park and were happy we chose The Journeyman. It is an older establishment but kept up quite well. Our room was huge, clean comfortable and quite well appointed. There is no restaurant on site, but we did not need one AND there are two close by. The proprietor was very accommodating and the rates were reasonable.

Keep on going

Cheap. Cheap. cheap. Stayed here instead of tenting due to poor weather. I'd choose the water filled tent next time. Sheets and pillowcases stained with what is probably pen the guy changed them right away with slightly less marked up bedding. The place had that nice fresh hostel feeling, if that's what you're looking for book now! Room also come with yellow sandals in case you forgot yours. I think I seen posted something about renovations but in my brief time there I seen no sign of anything a person could call new.
