What Makes The Grand Staircase Escalante Unique? The Grand Staircase Escalante is remote and less explored than all other national parks and monuments in Southern Utah. It offers some of the most breathtaking views of the state's colorful sandstone cliffs and narrow slot canyons. Escalante is also well known for its prehistoric rock formations and decades-old abandoned movie sets.
Getting Around:
Just 10 minutes from the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places. Need a 4x4 vehicle? We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it time here. The property was well taken care of and very clean. The tiny home had everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely stay here again with our family. Highly recommend.
Perfect place to stay in escalante! We were only there for 2 nights but it worked perfectly for us. Check in could not have been easier, parking right at the tiny house, comfortable unit with everything you need, and although units are close together, it's set up to still feel private. We would definitely stay again.
Loved our stay. The place was clean and despite having 6 people did not feel crowded. Wondeful views and relaxing. Eush we could have stayed more nights. Will be back.
The house was perfectly laid out and the outdoor landscape/space was an expected bonus. It felt private and quiet even though there were other houses just like it beside and in front of our house. We had everything we needed at the house and it accommodated our family of 6 with young children. The location was great—close to everything we wanted to do in Escalante.
We loved this well appointed, beautifully located tiny house. My friend uses the bedroom, I used the loft,
which was comfortable and roomy - other than ceiling height (;-). We would have appreciated a little toaster/oven, but we made due with microwave and stove top. The grounds and decor were just lovely! We had a grand stay.
We loved this property! The tiny home was well thought out and spacious. It literally had everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely stay here again!
I took my Dad for a long weekend of exploring for his 70th birthday. We’ve camped all around Zion and Bryce before, I wanted to take home somewhere we hadn’t seen yet, and I didn’t want to make him sleep on the ground. This cabin was perfect for our needs, gorgeous inside and out, conveniently close to Hold In The Rock road, where we spent most of our weekend, and the property management was very communicative. I will be back.
Guests should be aware that the loft space is very compact, great for kiddos, but when we come back with our adult friends we’ll have to sort out the who-sleeps-where politics. That’s my only note.
My Dad isn’t used to being treated this way and he was so impressed with the luxurious feel of the place, it made our trip feel like the gift for him that I meant it to be.
Pristine, incredibly cute, amazing views - all together one of my favorite VRBO experiences. Well equipped, great lighting, washer and dryer.... doesn't get much better!
This tiny home was cozy and having a fire pit and BBQ was really nice. The location was great, close to all the places we wanted to visit. The neighborhood was eclectic, and the Mercantile was fantastic as was the Outfitter. The only minor disappointment was the kitchen was not as well-stocked as we had hoped.
This was seriously the coolest place to stay! It was so much nicer than a hotel room. We stayed in the master bedroom and the kids slept in the loft. We loved it- so comfortable and perfect!
The property is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the check in process is simple. We sat at the porch every evening to enjoy the view and the nice weather.

Our tiny house was very warm and cozy. It had all
The items needed even a washer & dryer. This might be the one thing I was very happy about. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and plates. The only thing it didn’t have to as a large bowl for soup etc. but we made it work. Keurig coffee was filled with coffee pods, sugar and creamer. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.
We had been wanting to try out a tiny house & this place was very nice. We stayed a week & it works as a vacation rental, but probably not as a home. There was very little space for food in the kitchen area & no places for appliances....that said it was great short term. We enjoyed having the extra space outside & the fire pit was a bonus.
This was a great spot to spend the night while hiking in the Escalante area. My two kids loved the upstairs loft area. Check-in was a breeze and the house was clean and well-appointed. When in town, check out Escalante Outfitters for great pizza and you can also buy beer, wine and gear there too!
