"Howard Carter Hotel - what a find. Read all reviews and wasn't disappointed. From the very outset, we had a small issue with our room and was moved the next day into another room with no hesitation. We didn't like to complain as everyone at the hotel was so lovely and accommodating. Mr Said the owner who would always come around at meal times to make sure everything was to our liking. The Chefs worked so hard to deliver lovely dishes. The waiters were so accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. Ahmed and Ahmed and the lad and the gentleman at breakfast (apologies I couldn't remember their names). There was a great varied menu at dinner. Breakfast was plentiful and a lovely touch with the miniature pancakes everyday. My husband didn't care for pancakes so I ate his as well. Yummy !! The view from both our rooms was fantastic of the Nile and Pool. The Pool was clean and well kept. The hotel staff also cared about our wellbeing as whoever was picking us up would have to complete their details etc. for our security. We would definitely be back when the time is right. "The staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere felt very safe and friendly for a solo woman traveller. The pool was clean and the pool area very good, although there were times it was difficult to find a sunbed. If I ever return to Luxor, I would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely clean hotel with great facilities and views across the Nile. Breakfast had a nice choice of pastries, pancakes and omelette, cereal and hot breakfast and meats and cheeses. Alcoholic drinks and food were quite expensive but weren't good quality and plenty to choose from."

"The property is very well maintained, the staff went above and beyond to serve us as we are vegetarian. The manager made the dinner from scratch, to serve us a vegetarian dinner. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of choices. "

"The best hotel we stayed at during our Cairo-Aswan-Luxor trip. Very friendly staff, great facilities, tidy rooms and beautiful river front area to relax after a day of exploring. Great buffet for people though limited options for vegans, with poor dietary restriction notices on the food, though belatedly having spoken to the chef he said he would’ve made us something special during our stay had we made it know (so better to do that personally than rely on the waiting staff to make your plight known!)"
