Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. "We spent a week at this lovely holiday home. It's comprised of 2 2-bedroomed cottages attached to each other but with separate kitchen and bathroom facilities. "Gastheer vriendelijk, behulpzaam en betrokken. Erg prettig. Alles goed aanwezig voor ons behalve keukenbestek en pannen minimaal voor onze samenstelling. Zwembad super en werd goed schoon gehouden tijdens ons verblijf. Door de vele spullen en accessoires leek het lastig schoon te houden. Onbeperkt handdoeken en grote badlakens. "Bon accueil et bon echange avec la proprietaire. Forte odeur d'humidité dans le salon. Piece impossible à utiliser. Logement atypique avec un certain charme. Salle de bain principale dans chambre sans aucune intimité. Douche posée dans un coin avec vue imprenable sur la route ! Tete de lit à coté du lavabo et au dessus des tuyaux d'évacuation .... Propreté du logement à revoir. Neanmoins le linge de toilettes et les draps sentent bon la lessive."

"We loved our stay at Fonclaire. The tent was well equipped, the facilities always clean and tidy. The play park and pool were perfect. And the site attracts others like us so the kids all played together in the middle of the field. It was really lovely and we will be back! "

"We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way further south in France.The location is so quiet and pretty and the fenced garden meant we could relax and not worry about the dog or the kids wandering too far. The pool is ideal for small kids with a clever ladder which means when you don’t want them to get in you can remove the ladder. "One of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. I would like to thank both Mario and Ilse for being wonderful hosts, we received such a warm welcome and were afforded absolute privacy throughout our stay even though they were always on hand if anything was needed.The cottage is beautiful and so well equipped its a real home from home, with a full size larder fridge and an under the counter freezer there is plenty of room for you to stock up on groceries and forget that the world outside exists.The kitchen is incredibly well equipped, you seriously want for nothing, there is even a bacon slicer!Beds are very clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are very stylish with plenty of hot water and a fantastic shower.The garden is amazing, and in complete peace and quiet all you can hear are the sounds of nature and the views are spectacular. The pool is a real treat, just the right size and warm.There are some really pretty walks in the area and it is only minutes away from the national park. I would recommend the cottage to anyone who enjoys peace and quiet, hiking, cycling or relaxing. There are also really good dark skies at night perfect for star gazing there is no light pollution.Although it feels that you are in the middle of nowhere nothing is too far away, it is only 45 minutes of easy driving from Limoges Airport. The roads are very quiet compared to the UK. Plenty of Supermarkets along the route.So thankful that we found this place, we will be return soon x"

"Its a lovely family run hotel, the owner has excellant customer service skills and all of the staff make the effort to make you feel like a valued customer. Yes aspects of the rooms could do with a refresh butit is easy to overlook that. The food was very good and good value for money. It was my wife's birthday whilst we were there and when the owner realised they arranged for her dessert to be brought out with an candle in it and Happy Birthday written in chocolate!"
