Characterful, romantic apartment close to the river Ruhr, old town and mountains

In a stylish mansion from the middle of the 19th Century invites you to our newly renovated romantic apartment on the ground floor with a very special atmosphere to stay. The living-room will inspire you: Free truss on the side and ceiling, free brickwork on the front page, an unusual ceiling height of 3.75 m, with one special room for special days. Even sleeping in the bunk bed is a different way than in everyday life.
If you are more people or want an extra bedroom, you can also book another room, access is via the other side of the hallway. If necessary, you can still use a second additional bedroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs as self-catering. For Bakery and Pizzeria, there are also a few steps. Modern bathroom with shower. From the house you can take wonderful walks or bicycle to explore the area (bicycle station).


Grocery Stores (Aldi, Edeka, Lidl) in a few minutes.
S6 Cologne - Dusseldorf - Essen 5 min.
A 52 10 minutes, exit Kettwig or Breitscheidstraße.
Also ideal for visitors to the MediClin clinic Rhine-Ruhr, door to door directly by bus. Also suitable for visitors of Ruhrlandklinik in becoming.

Very charming city with a convenient stay
We had a short two-night stay as we visited the Zollverein UNESCO site and the lovely town of Ketterwig on our way to Koln. The space had everything we needed and it was very easy to park and walk to all the shops and restaurants and enjoy a great run along the Ruhr path. Peter was very welcoming and helpful and the place suited our needs. It is split into two units but they are across a short hall with your own private entrance and exit.

Peter is an excellent host. He speaks English well and is very accommodating to those of us who are still learning Deutsch! He gave me lot of helpful info about the area - and Germany, in general. This place has a lot of character and was just perfect for my stay.

Our host Peter was very welcoming and we got a nice and fresh apartment. A plus for us was that Peter speaks both Swedish and Norwegian :) The immediate area was very nice and there is also plenty to see if you want to go a little further. Thank you for being so accommodating!

Nicht nur, dass die Wohnung gemütlich und stilvoll renoviert und eingerichtet ist, für 4 Leute reichlich Platz bietet, auch übergroße Fahrräder einen trockenen Platz im Schuppen angeboten bekommen, die Vermieter für einen netten Plausch zu haben sind und die empfohlende Eisdiele nach wenigen Minnuten Fußweg voll und ganz überzeugen kann. Nein, bei berechtigter Beschwerde über das Wetter während der Anreise per Rad gibt's am nächsten Tag auch noch Sonnenschein und leichten Rückenwind (Angabe der Reiserichtung nicht vergessen!) frei Wohnung.

Wij hebben heel erg leuk gehad. Woning is op zich gedateerd maar schoon en zit erin wat je nodig hebt. Het stadje is super mooi en old town is heel dichtbij. Veel restaurants met heerlijk eten. Onze gast heer was heel aardig en we hebben geen last van gehad dat hij boven woonde. Wij misde wel een stukje tuin of terrasje waar je van de mooi weer kon genieten. Al met al super leuk gehad.
