Villa in estepona
Villa itself is basic but very clean outside area is lovely couldn’t get our son out of the pool. Burger King, chemist and supermarket within 5 min walk. If you cross over the rd and walk between nudist resort and hotel and turn left you can walk along the beach all the way to the port with restaurants and bars. Would have been nice if someone had greeted us at villa and told us about local area as we only realised we could walk all the way down a couple of days before leaving. Martin was great with communication though.

Great digs
Exactly as advertised. Lots of room and privacy. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds. The pool was a great touch. Made my day to have a swim everyday. Green space within the yard. Close to a couple reasonable supermarkets. Access to downtown Estepona is an hours walk or a five minute drive. Nice town; lots to see and do. Numerous small places to stop for tapas and a drink. Highly recommend Casa Lechuza!! Thanks Martyn

Wonderful villa
We are a family of four and stayed here for a week. The house was fantastic - had everything we needed and more. The air-conditioning was very welcome and the house has been well designed so there is a nice breeze flowing through the lounge area . The pool was wonderful, and with a number of umbrellas and loungers, there was always somewhere in the shade. The shady terrace offered a nice cool area in the heat of the day. Location-wise, it is a quiet and tranquil area. There are two supermarkets and a beach in easy walking distance. The beach was much less busy than the main Estepona beaches, which suited us. We didn't have a car, and had thought that we might be able to walk into town, but that wasn't really feasible due to the distance, heat and lack of pavements. However, there was no problem using Uber and taxis - around €10 depending on where in the town we went to. The restaurants nearby that other reviewers have mentioned have closed down, but there is Burger King and two restaurants at the nearby Hotel Elba (we didn't use any of these as preferred to barbecue or go into Estepona). Martyn was very helpful with the booking, process and helped us organise transport from the airport. All in all, we ha a lovely time and would happily return!

Wonderful holiday home
This was our first trip to Spain and it was a wonderful experience. Martyn was very prompt on answering any queries we made during the time we made the booking and the time we arrived. The villa was very well equipped, clean and cosy. The pool was great and the children loved it. We were glad that we did ask for the pool heating as this is not the warmest month in Estepona and there were couple of gloomy days. The property is situated in a very convenient location with two/three minute drive to two supermarkets (10 min walking). There are couple of restaurants that you can walk to but due to the season has not yet kicked in, they were closed. Anyway between the two supermarkets mentioned earlier there is a Burger King that is opened till late. Alternatively with 10 mins drive you can get to Estepona city centre and you have plenty of places to eat, shop etc. We would definitely recommend Casa Lechuza as a wonderful holiday home in Estepona.

Lovely Estepona
The villa is in a good quiet residential location which is a good 20 minute walk from the town centre. There are local supermarkets but no buses into Estepona from Don Pedro. The outside area including the pool is very good. Apart from a well equipped and excellent kitchen the rest of the villa is in need of up-dating. The agent for the house, Maria, was extremely helpful and hands on. If the interior was done we would be happy to return.

Lovely family villa
Lovely villa for a family stay. 10 minute drive to the marina and restaurants etc. A walk to the beach over a footbridge across the main road. Supermarket 2 minutes away. Pool guy visited a few times to make sure the pool was looked after. Everything as stated in the details. Lovely!

Excellent location with everything you need
We enjoyed our holiday as a family of five. The villa was large enough to give each of us space to chill out. The location is excellent with easy access to the A7 allowing us to travel to a range of places. We were then able to return and enjoy the pool later in the evening. Hope to visit again.

Lovely cosy home in a great location
We had a great week in Casa Lechuza it was a real home from home. We paid for pool heating which was a must for the January weather. It took a few days but when it was fully up to temperature it was like a warm bath. It is very private and in a quiet urbanisation very near to reasonably priced golf courses and 5 minutes to the lovely town of Estepona. A real gem of a house for a very reasonable price.

Fantastic villa with everything you need for a great holiday
Good location for self catering, with two big supermarkets near by. We were a litte out of town but we knew that before hand and taxis are cheap as there were four of us. There used to be three restaurants near the villa but now only one is open but we just ate in some nights and went to the town the other nights. The port is a little closer than town but much more expensive. The private pool is a good size with plenty of sun beds and shade if you need it. There is a terrace with a big table and an outside fridge for a handy pool side drink. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need for your stay and is a great size with a big fridge/freezer. All three bedrooms have air con (though this can be a bit noisy) and plenty of storage. The welcome basket of milk, bread, butter, juice, water and cava was a nice suprise and very appreciated. We had one issue with the water pump breaking down but Tony was there straight away and fixed it. He is a great guy and knows a lot about the local area. The whole villa was spotless and well maintained and we'd certainly recommend it to anyone. We took the bus to Gibraltar for a day trip but it's not a nice place and you'd be better off going to Ronda. We'd recomment Casa Del Rey in the town but you need to book for evernings.

Well-maintained and comfortable holiday home
We were met on arrival by Martyn's local agent Maria who showed us around and gave us some local tourist advice. The villa was exactly as described, clean, well-maintained and comfortable. Spent most of the time in/around the pool but we did venture out to the Wednesday morning street market in Estepona, the nearby 'white village' of Casares and Peurto Banus. Karaking on the Guadiaro in Sotogrande was good fun too. We would highly recommend the villa. Thank you Martyn, Maria and the other people who keep the pool and garden in perfect condition.

We loved our stay at this villa would definitely go back kids loved all the pool stuff left to play with only thing I would say would be better if they left out lights on for people arriving late as it is very dark would have loved a few little bars near by but seen they are doing loads of building up so would love to see it more busy lovely place to visit the port is lovely u need to get taxi to it tho and theyou only hold 4 people we are a family of 5 so needed two thanks for having our family

A very well equipped villa and excellent value for money
Casa Lechuza ia a well appointed, well equipped and comfortable home-from-home. Tucked away at the end of a drive that serves just Casa Lechuza and the villa next door, it is both quiet and private. The location, layout and amenities and just as described in the listing. The property was clean and tidy and Martyn, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful. Martyn's local agent, Maria, was also extremely helpful. I would thoroughly recommend thus villa as being well very good value for money. Thank you Martyn.

Super Kontakt, Haus leider nicht
Für den Kontakt mit Martyn und Maria geben wir volle Punktzahl. Die Kommunikation war sehr gut und es lief alles reibungslos. Leider entspricht der Zustand des Hauses nicht den im Internet abgebildeten Darstellungen. Diese müssen schon etwas älter sein. Wir hätten das Haus nicht , vor allem nicht für den Preis gebucht, wenn wir aktuelle Bilder gesehen hätten. Positiv ist zu vermerken, dass alles vorhanden ist, was man in einem Ferienhaus benötigt. Allerdings haben wir das Geschirr, was wir benutzen wollten, erst einmal gereinigt. Wir haben auch ansonsten nur den Wasserkocher und den Kühlschrank genutzt. Die Küchenausstattung ist Top, allerdings hatte der Backofen alte Fettablagerungen. Außen und Innen ist das Haus in die Jahre gekommenen. Klar ist, das sich so ein Mietobjekt abnutzt, aber hier besteht doch Sanierungsbedarf in allen Räumen, vor allem in den Bädern. Auf der Terrasse , die man schön gestalten könnte, standen ein ausrangierter Kühlschrank und alles wirkte sehr ungemütlich. In dem abgebildeten Vorraum waren ein Zustellbett und Kindermöbel abgestellt, eher wie eine Abstellkammer, kein einladender Empfang. Die Möbel und die Ausstattung waren leider auch nicht ansprechend. Die Gittertür zur Terrasse ließ sich nur halb öffnen. Wir haben es sein lassen und sind dann durch die Küchentür nach draußen gegangen. Wir haben den direkten Vergleich mit einem gleich ausgestatteten Tophaus, das wir im letzten Jahr zur gleichen Zeit in Torrox für den halben Preis gemietet haben.

Ich freue mich, dass Sie eine gute Kommunikation mit uns hatten. Es tut mir leid, dass Sie uns nicht mitgeteilt haben, dass Sie ein Problem mit der Funktionsweise der Terrassentüren hatten, wie es Ihnen hätte gezeigt werden können. Sie haben völlig Recht, dass ein Mietobjekt das ganze Jahr über einiges an Belastung mit sich bringt. Schade, dass Sie es am Ende des Jahreszyklus gesehen haben und nicht nach den Renovierungsarbeiten für das neue Jahr. Diese müssen für einen Zeitraum ohne Belegung geplant werden. Was dieses Jahr später ist. Wir bedauern, dass Sie ein Problem mit der Sauberkeit des Ofens festgestellt haben. Sie sind die ersten, die ein solches Problem feststellen, und ich habe es mit der Reinigungsfirma besprochen. Sie sind in der Regel sehr gut darin, dass ihre Reinigungskräfte in der kurzen Zeit zwischen den Wechseln hervorragende Arbeit leisten. Leider war das Wetter während Ihres Aufenthaltes nicht so gut, wie man es sich gewünscht hätte. Der „ausrangierte“ Kühlschrank auf der Terrasse wird in den wärmeren Monaten als Getränkekühlschrank genutzt, sodass die Getränke und das Eis in diesen Zeiten auf der Terrasse neben dem Terrassentisch zur Verfügung stehen, der der Hauptsitz-/Essbereich ist. Bei dem kälteren und nasseren Wetter, das Sie erlebt haben, war dieser Kühlschrank nicht notwendig. Insgesamt bedauern wir, dass Sie der Meinung waren, dass wir nur eine 2-Sterne-Bewertung verdient hätten. Sowohl die Leute vor Ihnen (9 Wochen geblieben) als auch danach haben uns 5 Sterne gegeben.

Mobiliario antiguo
Excepto la cocina, el resto del mobiliario necesitaría una remodelación. La comunicación no fue del todo correcta. Entiendo que la persona que lleva la casa tenía problemas, Un día estuvimos toda la mañana y parte de la tarde sin agua, lo comunicamos a primera hora y no sabían cómo resolvernos el problema. Gracias a la vecina (persona súper amable y servicial) que pudo ponerse en contacto con el propietario y nos dio la solución. En la zona de la piscina hay parte del mobiliario que está viejo.

Gracias por tu informe. Fue lamentable que justo cuando usted llegaba, a nuestro administrador de la casa le diagnosticaron cáncer y lo llevaron al hospital para una operación de emergencia. Esto fue inesperado y causó un problema con nuestra operación habitual y bien administrada. Somos muy afortunados de que mi vecina se ofreciera a ayudar siempre que fuera posible y tan pronto como se dio cuenta del problema del agua, se puso en contacto conmigo y pude aislar la bomba de agua defectuosa y restaurar el agua a la casa. Estoy de acuerdo en que algunos de los muebles de la piscina ya no estaban en su mejor momento. Se encargaron muebles de reemplazo y se reemplazaron tan pronto como hubo un espacio después de su partida. Por sus comentarios a nuestro vecino, entendemos que disfrutó de su estancia en la villa a pesar de los problemas que ocurrieron. Esperamos verle nuevamente para unas maravillosas vacaciones en Casa Lechuza.

Vacaciones agradables
Hemos estado muy agusto y relajados los días que hemos disfrutado de la Casa, que es mucho decir en una situación posconfinamiento. Casa amplia, buen salón, excelente cocina y mejor porche. Los baños limpios. Comentar que los cuartos no son muy grandes y la casa es ya antigua. La piscina estupenda con un aseo pero con un acceso de escaleras a tener en cuenta si vas con niños pequeños. Bien comunicado con Estepona y Supermercados. La playa cerca si vas andando, pero teniendo en cuenta que hay que pasar por un nivel encima de carretera con mucho tránsito. En general óptimo y apuntado en nuestra agenda de lugares donde hemos estado fenomenal.

Fantastiskt hus och trädgård
Inget saknades i huset. Trädgården var lummig o grön med en fin uteplats. Poolen var ett stort plus på de varma dagarna. Dessutom var det ej långt till havet. Mycket bra semesterboende Gunilla
