Now, onward!
My wife and I are proud to offer up the Sunflower Cabin, our dream home in the mountains. It is just a few hundred yards from the boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park, and a trail just a few blocks away takes you into Moraine Park by foot. Feel free to literally hike into the National Park, and then come back at the end of the day and soak in the hot tub on our back deck, watching alpenglow or shining stars.
Our historic cabin offers three bedrooms, a living area, a kitchen and dining area, and two bathrooms -- one is a common bathroom and one is attached to the queen bedroom.
BEDROOMS
We have a master suite, with an attached bathroom and a queen bedrooms. A second bedroom has a full size mattress, and a third bedroom, which opens onto our spacious deck, has a trundle bed with two singles. Perfect for the kids or for additional guests.
ENTERTAINMENT
The hallmark of our house is our outdoor deck, raised off the ground, with a hot tub hidden behind several large pine trees that grow through the deck. From our hot tub you can see gorgeous mountain vistas and huge starry nights.
Our second favorite part of our home is a cozy wood burning fireplace in the living room, which heats up our space well during cold winter nights. Bring your own firewood and relax on two comfy couches with a fire and a movie. We have a smart TV (Roku) so you can stream your favorite shows.
ESSENTIALS
We provide towels, linens, soaps, and cooking essentials, plus a full size washer and dryer for your use.
KITCHEN
Our fully stocked kitchen has a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and range, plus a ton of small appliances, dishes, pots, etc. Cook whatever you want! There are great restaurants nearby, but you are fully equipped for a great night of cooking.
Fully furnished cabin including 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room, dining/kitchen area, large deck, private playground, and hot tub. Parking for 2 cars max.
Our property managers Nathan, Nancy and Matt will be your main points of contact during your stay.
The Valhalla neighborhood is a collection of historic vacation rentals just outside of downtown Estes Park. It`s unique in that the neighborhood backs up to National Park land so elk, deer and other wildlife abound. We have views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains from our entire neighborhood! You can walk into the National Park from a trailhead just a few minutes by foot from our front door. There are other cabins nearby, so if you are looking for total seclusion this is not your best bet, but if you are looking for a historic cabin that essentially borders the park, this is a great neighborhood.
During the summer, there`s a free shuttle bus that encircles Estes Park and goes into the National Park. The closest stop is about 10-15 mins by foot.
NOISE
Events, loud music and parties are strictly prohibited. You must be quiet in the hot tub due to neighbors and neighborhood quiet hours. No speakers or music allowed.
NONPAYING GUESTS
Insurance requires that nonpaying/non-registered guests are not allowed on property.
AIR CONDITIONER
Like nearly every home in Estes Park, there is no A/C. We rely on cool mountain breezes to cool our homes quickly in the summers.
BEARS
This home essentially borders the park, and wildlife are everywhere. Do not leave foods in your car that smell. Bears can break in!
Minut We use a Minut noise meter. It doesn`t record audio, but instead monitors decibel levels, temperature and humidity. This is for the safety of guests & to protect the home. It also serves to warn us about parties & prevent noise complaints from neighbors. It`s located on the cieling in the kitchen.

Great 3 bedroom and 2 bath cabin. The whole family enjoyed the hot tub at the end of a day of hiking, bike riding, or horseback riding. Very clean, with plenty of towels. Water pressure and taste was great. The unit was very comfortable while still maintaining the feel of a cabin. Great location close to RMNP.
Also, the maintenance crew was VERY responsive to some minor questions and concerns we had. I highly recommend this cabin and would try to stay here again if we come back to RMNP.
This location and cabin was so awesome!! Very Clean and so much room. You have now ruined me as I will be very disappointed to ever book a Hotel again when vacationing. It was so quiet and relaxing.

My family and I enjoyed this property immensely. It was a great place to call home for a few days
Close to Estes Park but far enough away to be somewhat secluded. Property is in good shape and well managed. Just a few minutes drive to the park entrance.
We stayed 6 days with my 3 children (21, 18, 10) in this lovely cabin. The cabin is as described, a large, spacious, sunny kitchen/ dining area where it is easy to cook and eat, a smaller cozy living room, a very pleasant large deck with both shaded and sunny parts, and a hot tub as bonus. The cabin is super well placed, we could walk into the RMNP to Moraine Park along Eagle Cliff Mountain, a big relief on days when we did not get the timed entry tickets. You do have to take the car to Estes Park, which was fine with us, there is a large supermarket there, multiple shops and fun things for the kids (we enjoyed the Cascade minigolf and go-cart!)The hosts were very responsive- we had an issue with electrical outlets, and someone came right away to help us. Overall, we loved our stay!
This property is in a beautiful location and was just a few short minutes outside of town. The property manager was so responsive and checking in and checking out was super easy. The only thing that was a downside is the lack of air-conditioning when it’s 85 outside. I know that was complete luck of the draw and I knew it did not have air conditioning when I rented it. I love the fact that the cottage is historic and I understand why The windows in some rooms are sealed shut. The smallest bedroom was nearly unbearable in the heat because of lack of airflow. Had it been just 10 cooler outside, this would be a moot point. It has absolutely nothing to do with the property. I would just advise others considering this property to think about the air conditioning issue if you’re coming during a time when it may be quite hot. When it did cool off, it was absolutely delightful overnight with the windows open. The sunrise was beautiful, and the hot tub was amazing.
The cabin is accurately described as listed. Great communication. Very clean. Sunrise from chairs on deck beautiful. Great location with close proximity to both downtown Estes Park and RMNP. There is a basket of books and maps that we found handy. I would bring my family back here.
Want to be in Colorado and enjoy the outdoors? This is your location. Perfect place to enjoy all Estes Park has to offer…and a hot tub to boot! Wonderful stay.

Great cabin in a quiet area, still close to town, but surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees. Very clean, nice little wood burning stove in the living room and outdoor hot tub under the stars! Fantastic place to stay in Estes Park!
Something very special happened when family is able to gather in such a spectacular place. I appreciate that you share this opportunity through VRBO.
I cannot understate the value to us of being able to walk-in to the park at our leisure. Really convenient.
Everything was perfect. Well accommodated.
But the best attribute of the cabin is the HOT TUB. Amazing to come back after a great day of hiking and hang out in that VERY PLUSH tub. We were there with low moon light which made it AMAZING! Great star gazing in the TUB.
