It was an amazing property with great views, quiet, clean, and nicely updated. We had a great time visiting and getting out to RMNP to see the big critters. Thanks again for letting us stay.
We stayed at Glen Haven Mod on the River in early June 2025. Four adults stayed comfortably in the two bedrooms and it was so nice to have two bathrooms. The property is beautifully renovated and has all amenities to make for a wonderful mountain stay. A great location to enjoy the hub-bub of Estes and RMNP, but get away for a more relaxed nights' rest and family time. The little town of Glen Haven is a gem. Highly recommend the property and location, as well as working with Renee who was super responsive and helpful.
We just spent a week up there and we really needed it. It’s such a beautiful, relaxing place. It helped us lay back and chill out. The river is so relaxing. I love this place!
Returning to Glen Haven we were not disappointed by the mountains and the people! This cabin met all our needs from the kitchen accessories to the bedroom arrangement. And the murphy bed was a comfy one! And we had our very own gang of hummingbirds!
Everything about our stay was magnificent. It’s quiet, we saw different birds and animals. The sound of the creek and cool mountain air was elixir for my soul. I plan to return any time I can, including winter. This home is gorgeous, comfortable, clea, and welcoming! I love it!

Peace of Paradise
We enjoyed our stay in Glen Haven. Being nestled between two rivers was magical. The property was clean & maintained well. We did have a slight hiccup with getting into the house at the very beginning of our trip as there is limited cell service in the area. Make sure you have all your checkin information/door codes available before arriving at the house. After we got into the property, everything went very smoothly. We had a great vacation.
This is my favorite place to stay. I love the house, the sound of the creek, the wind rustling through the pines, and the marvelous fresh mountain air. We’ve been coming here for a few years and it continues to be our happy place!
We really did enjoy this place but the property manager acted like I was really inconveniencing her because i could not find the door code anywhere in my check in instructions. It may have been there and I missed it, but the apologized 3 times for asking her and she was not friendly at all.
I love mid-century homes and was delighted to find one for a vacation near Estes Park. Glen Haven is a tiny village 15-20 minutes to Estes proper, so plan accordingly. The Country Store has limited grocery items (i would suggest they ditch most of the touristy keepsakes and stock more food!), but the World Famous Cinnamon rolls are as good as advertised! And it is mere steps away from the VRBO property. The house is situated between a fork in the Big Thompson and we spend most time outside listening to the river. So relaxing and peaceful. If you go, you MUST make sure the hummingbird feeder is full! We watched them for hours and they would fly around my head while I sat on the deck. Delightful. The kitchen is efficient and had everything we needed with the exception of a garbage disposal. Also, it would’ve been nice to have cooking oil, flour and sugar. The only issue we had during our week’s stay was the well pump (we assume) making noise — enough to wake us up at 3 in the morning TWICE. It’s an old house (1959) and stuff happens. We alerted the property manager and I am betting it will be fixed before the next guest arrives. If you take your dog on vacation, there is a FENCE…rare in a mountain vacation property! We didn’t have to take her out on a leash every time she need to go — she loved staying there as much as we did. The mattresses were comfortable but neither bed had a headboard. If I were the owner I’d make that one improvement and maybe upgrade the sheets.
