Our stay was wonderful and comfortable. We wanted something more in the mountains but this worked out well. We got to see wild turkeys and deer in the yard, close to town, close to park. Communication with the owner was wonderful and thanks for the the Christmas tree
Home was great, enough rooms, beds were comfortable. Parking was ample, garage door was a little tough to open to place trash in bin. Close to everything.
Property had basic amenities, plus additional pantry & kitchen aids.
Outside areas, great for enjoying the weather.
Busy highway noise. We did enjoy our stay!!
We wanted a quiet Thanksgiving and to experience some cooler temperatures. This was the perfect spot. Location was great. Close to Estes, RMNP and beautiful scenery right out our front door. It snowed while we were there. We saw several deer out front Lmost every day. Very relaxing.
This was our 4th trip to Estes Park and Rocky Mtn. National Park. We brought my dad for the first time to see the beautiful scenery and wildlife. The house had everything we needed, we enjoyed the elk and deer in the yard. Our Mini Aussie enjoyed them from the front porch as she made that her lookout. The property owner was very attentive and helpful with all the instructions and questions. We will be looking to come back and stay here again in the future.
We visited RMNP for two days and found this cottage to be in a great location. Just minutes to the park gate and away from the busy traffic of Estes Park. My children enjoyed the “charm” of the cottage, it reminded them of a WI resort that we go to. While some furnishings are dated, the appliance are all new. I did miss not having a dishwasher.
We also stayed when the weather became unseasonably cold and found the heating to be sufficient. For those traveling with pets, while the cottage is amongst other cottages and is not “alone in the woods”, there was plenty of wild animals and wild animal scat surrounding the house. Overall, we found this rental clean and its proximity to RMNP and Estes Park to be ideal.
This house has been neglected for many years!!
The septic system is faulty, causing the whole house to reek inside. Uneven floors are a tripping hazard.
Forget the internet, it goes out every 20-30 minutes.
The furniture is uncomfortable and rooms are crowded.
It is right next to a busy road so sitting outside on the deck means noise and exhaust fumes.
The only 2 positives are a comfortable bed in the main bedroom and the location is close to the park entrance.
This was a charming place to stay. You. Can. NOT. Beat the location. Especially, not if you are going into RMNP at the Beaver Meadow Visitor Center.
We come from the land of Central HVAC and I was a bit concerned when I saw the first forecast for our arrival date. But that didn’t pan out and even when it was (nearly) freezing outside, the system of the fireplace and space heaters (and closed doors) worked out perfectly; even for my elderly mom who is never warm enough.
The beds were comfortable and the linens nice.
The kitchen is well stocked, not just with pots and pans but condiments and shelf stable goodies. We ate breakfast in every morning and cooked dinner several times. You could walk to a lovely grocery store if you had forgotten anything. (It’s uphill on the way back!)
Water pressure is great.
Our visitors included: turkeys, a bunny and several deer.
I’m a bit of a history buff and I loved seeing a copy of the original deed for the acreage over the fireplace.
And to the naysayers that fussed about the “charms” of a 100 year old house…when you are over 100 years old, I bet your floor will be a little sloped and your augmentations might be noticeable.
This 3 bedroom/2 bath property was perfect for our family staying here with 2 teenagers and 3 adults. The property is 2 blocks from 36 W that goes into RMNP so you can avoid all the downtown traffic. At the bottom of the hill are restaurants/grocery/gas and anything you need but you can't see it from the cabin. LOVED this cabin.
Only problem was opening the garage door to put trash in bins. Nice and quiet neighbors. We had a great time. We couldn't find a can opener so bought a cheap one.
There was an issue with the reservation, but the management company (Lowell from PMI Estes Park) fixed the problem and made sure we have a great vacation. Keep up to good work! Thank you!
Property location was great. Very close to Beaver Meadows RMNP entrance. There were elk grazing and napping in the yard nearly every morning while we had breakfast. The home is fully outfitted including a kitchen with ample implements to enable a range of family meals. You can tell the house has grown and evolved in its ~100 years making it eclectic. It served us well.
