3 bedroom lovely home in Fjæra

Beautiful semi-detached house with fantastic views of mighty mountains and long rivers. Hardanger with Trolltunga, Låtefoss, Bondhusbreen, Langfoss and Preikestolen nearby offer exciting nature experiences. Newly built Via Ferrata - Kirkeveggen - one of the longest and highest routes in the Nordic region - is about 500 m from the cottage. The area also borders Folgefonna and Hardangervidda National Parks, which provide a starting point for a varied Norwegian vacation. Here you can grill the catch of the day from the nearby river, in the fishing lake or in the nearby fjord. There are good trout stocks in the lake. At the Åkrafjord it is not far to fishing opportunities. A boat can be rented from the owner. From the cottage you can make trips to Odda and the Hardangerfjord, Haugesund, Bergen and Stavanger. Owner lives in the other half of the house and has good recommendations for excursions.

What's nearby

  • It took us around two hours to get to the glacier through heavy rain, sleet, rough terrain and wind which threatened to blow our brains away. Not the easiest hiking route, I have to admit (well, it might be if the weather is welcoming and you're wearing a nice pair of water resistant boots) needless to say we were lacking any of those (dumb us). At some points you literally have to balance on a rope (very wet with ice cold water streaming down the sleeves as you're grabbing it) 90 degrees up the rocks. The very end is breathtaking though-massive pile of snow, ice and waterfalls all pale blue as the air is ridiculously clean there. Take extra care, however, the surfaces, little bridges and pathways get really slippery if it rains. Avoid if you're travelling with small children.

The host was very welcoming. We wanted to have a winter bbq and they prepared chaires with a nice fur en helped us to make te fire place in the house. The house a dated but it has everything it needs. Surrounding is beautiful!

Sehr nette Gastgeber, welche direkt nebenan wohnen und bei Fragen direkt helfen konnten. Dazu tolle Tipps zur Umgebung.Die Lage is ideal, um Odda und Umgebung zu erkunden. Direkt hinter dem Haus kann man den Berg über eine wunderschöne und fordernde Wanderung erkunden. Eine tolle Aussicht.Würden wir für einen weiteren Aufenthalt (in 1 Woche kann man kaum die ganze Umgebung erkunden) wieder buchen wollen.

Wunderschöne Doppelhaushälfte in ruhiger Lage mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern. Die Küchenausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen und den abendlichen Sonnenuntergang auf dem Balkon mit herrlichem Ausblick haben wir extrem genossen. Einziges kleines Manko: das Erdgeschoß ist sehr kühl. Allerdings gibt es eine Klimaanlage, mit der man hätte heizen können. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Leuk huis op mooie plek

Mooi huisje met een wat rustieke inrichting. Het huisje is goed onderhouden en alles functioneert en is netjes en schoon. De ontvangst door de eigenaar is heel goed en vriendelijk en je kunt altijd terecht voor vragen. De omgeving is mooi en er zijn veel mooie wandelingen in de buurt.
