I was very happy to see the current owners are still taking good care of the lodge. They were very friendly and accommodating. I loved the book inside the room with the history. Great hot water and comfortable beds.

Beds were comfortable. There's a nice restaurant across the street and several others nearby. It's a good location for staying while exploring the northern portion of Redwood National Park. The only complaint is that the showers are raised like a mini tub, which makes them difficult for people with physical issues to get in and out of.

Location to Redwood State and National Parks was good. Otherwise, it was noisy on the main road, the room smelled, the towels were old, thin and rough and it was a big room but just wasted space. I would not recommend staying here.

We stayed at the Curly Redwood Lodge in September 2026. We were traveling from the Mendocino area to Portland and only needed a room for one night. The Curly Redwood Lodge is right across the highway from the harbor. It is clean and comfortable, although the furnishings and carpet are dated. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. No king size beds...only queens.

This was a great stay, and perfect location for our road trip. I was traveling with my 15 year old daughter, we hiked the redwoods on this leg of our trip. The beach is right across the street from the hotel, along with restaurants and stores.

This is not your typical motel. The redwood used makes it quite unique. Stay was pleasant. Although ona major highway motels quiet. We'd stay there again
