Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary is home to migratory birds and constructed wetlands, the latter treating wastewater from the city of Arcata. A log of recent bird sightings is kept in the interpretive center. The trails along the marsh have views of ponds and Humboldt Bay. This view is looking southeast over Humboldt Bay towards Bayside.
