This is a beautiful hotel with outstanding staff and amenities. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are spacious with top quality bathrooms. The pool, pool bar, and restaurants are all excellent.

This place was amazing. Only 10 minute drive outside Evora historial city center. Great amenities and a step in time. It was like having your own private visit to a historical site. The place is beautiful and the extra features are great. The indoor pool and steam room were wonderful to have in the early spring since it was still too chilly outside. The hallways are long, so expect a walk to your room, but that is the historical layout of a convent; so don't complain because it's exactly what you asked for. We didn't have our daughter with us this trip, but if we did I would be concerned about "quiet hours" at the indoor pool being during peak day hours for children having fun (12-6pm). During off peak season the restuarant will only service to those who pre-reserve the day prior and we had to make the decision when we came in late night for the next day. I would recommend they contact their clients prior to arrival with the information and menus. The complimentary local drink for guests at the bar was a lovely touch.

Absolutely spectacular. My parents stayed in the old part and adored it. We were in the newer section and it was also perfect. So comfortable. The amenities and staff were delightful. Absolutely worth the visit.

The hotel was greatly overvalued/overpriced and unless you are a convention crowd I would not advise a couple to go there. The food was pedestrian at best and the wait staff was unable to answer how the meal would be prepared. As a result I received a meal I would not have ordered if it were accurately described. I should have sent it back. In the rooms you pay if you use expresso pods and still water. The bathrooms are small and tight (difficult to maneuver in the shower.) The rooms are far from reception and to carry luggage/packages with stairs is difficult to deal with. To be fair the rooms are large, albeit dark. The bed was comfortable. The internet was intermittent and unavailable a good amount of time. The two days we were there we could not use our balcony patio due to repair cranes used to clean the roof tiles and to repaint being adjacent thereto. The property is about 10 minutes from town by car and there is nothing one can reasonably walk to from there. That said, the adjacent church is very beautiful and my visit to it was the highlight of the stay. It was our last hotel on our two week visit to the country and easily the one we wish we had not booked.

Wonderful property, loved the historic parts and the renovations. The rooms in the newer wings are very modern. The gardens and pool area are very relaxing. Restaurants are good quality and the included breakfast buffet is really above and beyond. The staff was very responsive to service requests as well. All in all a great experience!!!

This was a unique and beautiful hotel located just out of Évora. It was a peaceful oasis of gardens, spa, outdoor pool and covent interior to explore. The outdoor pool was fabulous for swimming laps. The restaurant was gourmet.
