"This was one of the best hotel experiences ever. Perfectly located in the city center, the building was perfectly renovated to a modern design while preserving the quaint charm of the building. Furnishings were perfect. Comfortable bed. Trundle bed was great for our kid. Breakfast delivered to the door was incredible! "By far my favorite place I have ever stayed. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The hotel was immaculate and felt so high end. From the attention to detail in the room, to the attentiveness of the staff, to the Michelin star restaurant located IN THE HOTEL. Make sure to set your alarm because you will not want to miss out on breakfast either. The town is small and has a strong feel of community. It is located amongst about 600 wineries in the area. "

Parador de Santo Domingo was an unexpected gem!

"Went during pilgrimage and loved this Parador. So close to everything and so quaint. We did the Camino de Santiago, St. James original, and without knowing, this was on the Camino. Loved seeing all the Peregrinos. Staff was super friendly. Left my adapter in last hotel, and they even had a US adapter for me. Will definitely be back when I do the Camino."

"First, you must have a car if you plan to stay in Haro. Transportation, including taxis, are extremely limited and difficult to use. This fact is even more so if you stay at Hotel ITC Ciudad de Haro. This hotel is about a 25-minute walk uphill to the downtown area and you must cross a highway, which we were told multiple times is officially illegal. If you do have a car, this hotel is perfectly fine for a few nights, especially if you consider the cost. It is a great value. That said, don't expect a four star hotel. As others have noted, the hotel is old and has some deferred maintenance issues. Likewise, the WiFi is extremely slow so don't expect to stream anything or make WiFi calls. Finally, the staff at the hotel are wonderful. They were always helpful and attentive. Enjoy!"
