Very good

The house was perfectly maintained and looks better than the pictures. It was a clean and well designed log house. The beds were comfortable and it was very private. The only criticism is the lake access. It is a very steep long walk down a dirt path to get to the lake, which made lake access difficult
The kitchen was large and well equipped for preparing meals for a large group. Also the two dining area being together was perfect for my family. Bedrooms were nice. Access to the property was challenging since the first quarter mile was down a single lane dirt road and crossing a creek to get to the neighborhood. Also the trail down to the dock was steep and rocky.
The cabin is beautiful and has large comfortable rooms. Great for 8 adults. It was very convenient to have a dock for our boat, although know that if the lake was low, you would not be able to get there. The driveway is steep, but who cares because we only parked there. The terrain up from the boat dock is not for the elderly nor weak, but we would certainly rent again!!
The host was amazing and the cabin was absolutely beautiful. We had our family Thanksgiving here and we made a lot of wonderful memories. The fire pit was perfect for those cold evenings and they even had a basket full of goodies to make smores along with several other goodies!! We felt welcomed and it felt like our home away from home. I can't recommend this host and cabin enough!!!
The property was great even though the driveway was steep as noted by the manager. The information provided about the property was accurate. No problem with contacting the manager. I really enjoyed the stay.
We were quite comfortable with 6 adults and four children in this lovely, nicely furnished 4 bedroom cabin. We rented a pontoon boat at nearby Harbor Light Marina and parked it at the dock which is shown in the photos. The walk down is a fairly rugged trail and a good pair of shoes are recommended. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a great time on the water.

Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
The owner of the home did not provide a secure home. The doors DID NOT LOCK. The locks on the 3 sliding doors DID NOT LOCK. There was water leaking from the upstairs bathroom shower down through the ceiling into the kitchen. The remotes to the ceiling fans did not work. The only television that worked was the T.V in the main upstairs living room area. 3 out of the 5 T.V's would not turn on. The one downstairs turned on but it did not have any type of service connected to it. When I reached out to the owner to discuss these concerns I did not get a response back. The water was dried up to the boating deck in the back of this home. There was grass where there use to be water.

Nice House But…
We hosted a family reunion and the size and the layout of the house was ideal. If you are booking this for a place with good lake access be aware that this is at the very end of a lake inlet, one house from a creek head, very shallow, hard to get a boat to, and you would not want to swim off the dock.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin on Lake Hartwell. The furnishings were very comfortable and homey, and we thought everything was great inside and outside of the cabin. We very much enjoyed being outside on the porches and the use of the grill in the evening to prepare our dinner. I did not take the opportunity to walk down to the dock on the lake but I could see it and I’m sure it would be wonderful down on the water. Overall our stay was great we highly recommend this location is very relaxing and quiet and a great place to spend the weekend or week!
The property was nice, but disappointed with the cleanliness and the items that were broke or didn't work in the house. Downstairs toilet was broke, screen door on back qas broke and set up against the house, no comforter on middle bedroom. Also found a kids dirty sock in and candy wrappers in one bedroom. Also shower curtain had mildew on init in the master bedroom.

Nice Home, Need More Cleaning and Better Parking Situation
The home was very nice; however, the floors were extremely dirty (ruined several pairs of white socks!) and the furniture needs dusting. Dead carpenter bees on the floors in three of the bedrooms. Air conditioner filters need to be replaced. I had to remove the upstairs filter to get the air conditioning to cool properly. Just needs a good, deep cleaning. Furniture, fixtures, supplies (towels/sheets/kitchen) were very nice. The steep driveway is dangerous for elderly or others that need a flat service to walk. Also, part of the road to the home is gravel, not recommended for a low vehicle.Management company was very responsive and helpful during our stay.
It is a beautiful home, but it was not clean by any standards. The floor was dirty and the bathroom upstairs was disgusting. There was hair on the walls in shower stall a dirty towel at top of shower rod. Soap scum, or something all over stall and the towel had pubic hair on it. We shared pictures with property manager, but someone came to clean, but honestly they mopped the floor, the bathroom was still gross. There was hair and fake nails on the rug under the dining table, and you could not walk barefoot due to the gross floors. The countertops were also filthy that I cleaned prior to cooking a meal for my family. I asked for the cleaning fee to be refunded, but was told i had to speak to property manager. Also, the driveway is very slanted and hard to get in and out of your vehicle. The house needs a very deep clean, also tons of dead bugs. As you walked upstairs and looked through the windows in living room, so many dead bugs had accumulated and were left there. Again, highly suggest that the home is deep cleaned twice, before renting out again.

Has good bones
The house and location is great and the communication with the property manager was good. But that’s where the good ends.Cleanliness:It was dirty. Just like previous reviews. I was hopeful. I get there are spots that are hard to clean sometimes, but the main room baseboards and light fixtures that are eye level are coated with dust. There was trash left on night stands and after walking around, your feet turn black. Sheets were clean atleast. A/C:The A/C was broken on the 3rd floor. This was the floor with 3 bedrooms and where we were planning to have our toddlers sleep so we could utilize the basement for the adults after they went to sleep. The response was great, but the problem couldn’t be fixed. The manager mentioned possibly getting portable AC units to the house, but went MIA. We had someone do a 3 hr round trip to go home and get fans. There were also plenty of portable AC units at Lowe’s and Walmart in the surrounding towns. Since we couldn’t really utilize the bedrooms up there we couldn’t use the basement because the toddlers were sleeping down there. Dock:If you are planning to bring a boat, make sure the water is up. It’s a foot to two feet deep around the dock and there is a narrow bath to follow to get to the dock or else you’re running a ground. If you are planning on swimming, you’ll be ankles deep in mud. It is a nice dock for kayaking off of. It is also a shared dock. Other: lumber on the patio and saw dust all around the baseboards downstairs.
