"The staff were lovely and the room was clean except for tissues behind the bed at the bottom of the headboard, when I dropped my laptop. Other than that the hotel was lovely and the spa and breakfast was the highlight of my stay. aI do wish I got a proper tour around the hotel I was just directed where to go to my room but thats about it. the complinentart Cornish tea bags were great and I love the ship decor type of theme. Overall , I had a great stay wish they had daiquiris on the menu at the bar, never the less the hotel bar and breakfast was lovely."

"Pros: - Location (5min from the beach & lovely pavillion gardens, quiet part of town but still only 10min walk to town centre) - Friendly staff Cons: - The building is very outdated, the carpet is old, floors creak and doors slam in the night - There was a waste water pipe right next to my window so I could hear every flush from above throughout the day and night - The view from the window was a flat roof - The breakfast was basic and old-fashioned (e.g. friend bread in the full breakfast, tinned fruit and cereal) If it had cost at least £40 less/night this would have been ok but not for the price paid"

"Cosy single room in old part of hotel, I was on the top floor - had a fantastic view, may get very hot in the summer as there was no air conditioning and it got a lot of sun. Windows do open though. New bath/shower. Had iron, steamer and ironing board. No mini fridge, but there was a kettle. The room I had did have very steep stairs to get to top floor - probably not great for medium/ big suitcases, small carry on suitcase was fine for me to carry up. Breakfast was marvellous, loads of options on buffet/ to order and the staff were very welcoming, attentive and helpful. Beautiful downstairs reception with comfy couches, board games and a bar. Pool was excellent. Wish I could have stayed longer, a lovely escape from hectic London."

"This was a lovely place to stay, very clean and good facilities. Friendly and accommodating hosts. Spiral staircase may be challenging for older people. Great location and easy to get into town or head away to explore Cornwall."

"Highly recommend a visit , Katie is a superb host and nothing is too much trouble. Location is perfect for beaches and town, our room was light airy and spacious with lots of lovely extras . Breakfast is superb with a huge choice . Would definitely stay again and thank you Katie and Trish for looking after us so well 🤗Liz and Jo"
