Clean, easy process, quiet, great central location. Right on the river so my pup and I frequented the trails down to the river for a number of beautiful walks. Off street parking is always a great amenity as well.
Great location, very quiet, short walk to the Farmington river, comfortable bed (a huge plus!) and all of the amenities needed for a lengthy stay. The only negative is that it could have been cleaner upon check-in.
Overall it's a fantastic alternative to a hotel stay, especially with pets as we had our 2 dogs with us for this trip.
We stayed 2 nights while visiting family. Location was in a quiet area, at the end of a cul de sac. Good for our 2 small dogs. Great walking spaces. Apartment was nothing fancy, but met our needs. Coffee maker was nice to have for the mornings. Checkin was easy and we were able to get in earlier which was helpful. Bed was very comfortable.
This was a pleasant and clean basic one bedroom apartment. The bed was comfortable and the towels were very soft. Especially appreciated the chocolate biscotti but it would have been nice to have some basic condiments in the kitchen. Julie was very responsive and allowed us to add an extra day at the last minute.
Lovely quiet area. We had all that we needed.
I did see the picture of the rental, and on me that I didn’t consider the stairs to the apartment. We are 76-79 and when wet the stair were a bit scary for us.
Met and exceeded our expectations during our trip from WV to CT to visit family. Great location at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Nice yard and plenty of surrounding area to walk our two pups. Easy drive to great restaurants and points-of-interest. LOVED that we were able to park our Tesla Model 3 in the garage and charge overnight via swapping-out the dryer plug (NEMA 14-50) with our mobile charging cable. If you’re driving an EV and looking to stay in the Farmington area, THIS is the place! Great communication with our host as well. Any negatives? Yes… the shower drained slowly. So 4.99 stars instead of 5.0 ha! ha! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Excellent property overall - everything you need for an extended stay
My wife and our two pugs had a great stay at this property throughout the month of June. There were very few pet-friendly options in the vicinity, and we wound up booking this one. There was only one review, so I will try to add more info to help folks make an informed decision.
Overall the location is fantastic. You can walk to miles and miles of trails, you can stroll right down to the river, and it is an easy drive to get to the grocery store and dozens of great food options. The area is not what I would call high-end, but it is on a quiet street that dead-ends, and the neighbors were generally friendly and we felt safe leaving our vehicle parked outside the entire time. So if you are looking for a cute Instagramable location to stay in, this is not it. But if you are looking for somewhere that will meet all of your needs (from kitchen to laundry, etc), this is the place.
The WiFi connection is excellent. I needed to work remotely for several weeks, and it never had a hiccup. I was also able to connect my Fire stick for streaming, so that was nice (there is a smaller widescreen TV in the living room that works great and has full cable TV channels as well as streaming capabilities, all big plusses).
There is a garage that you can park in (also where you have the washer and dryer), although we did not feel the need to use it.
Since the property is at the end of the street and has a large lawn, we were able to easily walk our pugs in the mornings and evenings. There is not a fenced-in yard, so just be aware. But there are no cars coming by, so if your pet is pretty good then you can let them do their business easily.
The layout of the property is a good one; you do need to climb one flight of stairs, and then you enter through the kitchen. The kitchen is small but well-stocked. It opens to the dining area and living area which has a large table and then a couch and two chairs, plus the TV. There is a bathroom and a bedroom, both which have doors that can be closed for privacy as needed.
So I will mention two slight negatives to be aware of. The first is the bed size: it is a double bed, which means it is one size down from a queen. My wife and I have a king bed at home, so this was a major adjustment (I am 6'2" and 200+ pounds, so I took up some space). And second was the property was reasonably clean (freshly vacuumed, etc), but we felt the need to do an additional scrubbing (we are very picky).
Overall a solid 5 stars!
