From the moment we walked in, it felt as though we had stepped back in time. The hotel's historic character was beautifully preserved, while our room was surprisingly modern, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable. The best part was that everything we needed for a great evening was right there. We started with drinks at the rooftop bar, enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the attached restaurant, and then spent time at the lively nightlife bar located directly behind the hotel. This is the perfect destination for a romantic one-night escape. Combined with the charm of the surrounding small town, the hotel creates an unforgettable experience that makes you feel like you've been coming there for years.

This hotel is located in downtown Farmville and within easy walking distance to Main Street and the Green Front furniture facilities. Several good restaurants located close by. Hotel has a roof top bar that can be fun. Room is spacious and clean. We really enjoyed staying at this historic hotel.

The property is located in a great location. My room must of had some remodeling going on, there was drywall dust all over the floor, I asked a housekeeper if it could be vacuumed up and she did right away. They are short staffed so some of the dining options weren’t available. All of the staff I met were great.

Beautiful historic hotel. A few updates are needed, but minor. The bathroom, shower, and bathroom itself were beautiful. The restaurant and rooftop bar were on-site and nice as well. The views were beautiful.

Stayed one night. Overall a very good nights sleep! It was a bit of a walk and stairs involved to get into the hotel from the parking lot, i would suggest dropping your bags at the front as you check in. It may be in the hotel info, but we didn’t realize the Restaurant would be closed on Sunday night and Monday night, there is a restaurant in close walking distance but it was cold and we were hoping just to get a quick something in house. We had a room in the historic wing. Our room was clean, and comfy once we figured out how to work the wall heat and cool unit. One thing - the standard room is too small for any comfy chair so only the bed and one straight back chair for seating, just fyi. No ice in the historic wing but available on the premises, just ask front desk and a bit of a walk. The breakfast offerings were disappointing. They were not restocked and there were no utensils. In my opinion, they would be better off just offering coffee and pastries and not calling it a breakfast. While we would not stay again, I think if the restaurant had been open we may have had a better impression.
