Casa Catalina - Three Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 6

  • Set in a peaceful countryside location, yet within easy reach of the small village of Calonge and 15 minutes drive to centre of Cala d'Or with its shops, restaurants and bustling marina. 
    This two-story house has retained its traditional country charm. On entering the villa, you are welcomed by a beautifully decorated large lounge dining area which has a really nice homely feel, on this floor there is also a well-equipped spacious kitchen with a table and chairs to enjoy breakfast. There are also two bedrooms on the ground floor, two twin bedrooms each with en suite shower rooms and one with doors to the terrace. The stairs lead to the first floor where the third bedroom is situated, this is a really spacious double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This bedroom has a large balcony overlooking the pool area with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
    A fabulous family villa set in a private location surrounded by orchards and wonderful Mallorcan countryside. Making this a perfect choice to relax and unwind and enjoy some wonderful al fresco meals. This property contains wide vertical gaps in the balcony railings. Please ensure children remain supervised at all times.

Countryside villa with distant sea view

We had a few teething problems at the villa but these were quickly resolved by the rep assigned to us via text. As it was in the countryside, chickens were next door, goats wandered in the field next to us and dogs guarded their land. Sometimes the dogs barking disturbed us, but mostly we tuned out and it was fine. Air conditioning was only in the bedrooms which meant the living room was too hot to use, so we lived outside on the terrace if we had a villa day. The kitchen is prime for renovation as it was very small compared to the living area (we were a party of 8). Shops are a drive away so if we needed supplies, you had to think ahead. Well kept gardens with a visiting gardener and pool had a regular maintenance man. A few details could have made a massive difference such as a larger freezer, larger water glasses, a knife sharpener, simple DIY checks after each stay to make sure it was in tip top condition for customers. Overall a nice place with prompt service but COULD have been amazing!
