COVID-19 has changed how we travel, but it hasn't curbed our eagerness for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to navigate travel's new challenges:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll have to follow on arrival, such as health testing.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask at the airport, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to adjust your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
• To decrease the risk of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee.
• TSA is now permitting passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will need to be removed from your bag for scanning.
• To reduce handling during the screening process, place items such as your loose change and phone into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA officer will need to open your bag for inspection.
