"The room was absolutely lovely to stay in. Me and my significant other were staying here for WE Fest weekend and absolutely loved our time here. When I booked it a year in advance I had some doubts but I was very surprised on how nice it was. Staff were extremely nice. Felt just like staying at home. It was very private and quiet which we loved. Hoping to come back next year and stay here again. 12/10 recommend this wonderful place!"

"SINGLE FEMALES BEWARE! YOUR SAFETY IS AT RISK AT THIS PROPERTY! On July 24, 2025, I checked into this vacation property. Unfortunately, due to being a dual sport family, my husband and son were unable to come with us. At the time of check in, I was greeted by the owner and his dog. As a dog lover, I did not think much of it until the dog would not leave me alone. Constantly sniffing and humping me with no correction from the owner, I was quite uncomfortable but attempted not to be rude. The owner never acknowledged his dog’s behavior as poor or tried to discipline the dog. The owner explained where things were at and walked me around. The whole time acting as if I was not capable of taking care anything. BIG RED FLAG HERE…as the owner is showing me around the property inside, he points out that the door near the bathroom connects to his property that is simply locked to his residence. No way to securely know that he would not enter the property as well as I had no idea that the owner was staying on the property and that the attached property I was staying in had no security from his residence expect a deadbolt that he has access to which my understanding is in violation of VRBO Shared Space Rental Policy. Again, attempting not to be rude as I was by myself at check in and my child. This only allows me to post so many characters, please feel free to reach out for more details regarding my stay including the owner not allowing me to leave his property. Terrifying experience."

"Not high end glam but so comfortable, everything you need, including great deck time ,grilling over charcoal , enjoying morning coffee ,sunset views, and firepit ambiance.."

"This is the ultimate relaxation point!!!My husband and I needed a getaway and this cute spot on Lake Ethel was exactly what the doctor ordered! Lake Ethel is such a peaceful location. We were able to enjoy rain every morning of our stay, with nothing but sun shortly afterwards. Gentle breezes kept the bugs at bay and cooled the heat. I saw my first loon during a kayaking trip across the lake one late morning. A pair of these beautiful birds were soaking up the sun while floating. The owners are amazing people. They made check-in an absolute breeze. We only had one minor problem and it was fixed immediately. The owners’ response time is beyond exceptional! They even have a list of things to do handy if you run out of ideas."

"This place was a pleasant surprise with the low price. I was there on a hot day after an outdoor family event and the room was nice and cool with a kick ass air conditioner running. Clean, comfortable bed with a hide-a-bed couch for an extra person. If you're on a budget, this is a nice place with a more than fair price. "

"We benefited from some of the nice redecorating underway in this older hotel. Our host was pleasant and very helpful in carrying some of our gear down to our room, new carpeting in the hallway was nice and colorful, the beds and pillows were excellent, and the room very clean. We also liked the new floor covering in the room."
