Great located house that is ski in/ski out. The hot tub was wonderful. Kitchen had everything needed to make all meals. Communication with Kim was great. I highly recommend this rental.
Incredible property. Meticulously maintained, beautifully clean and very well stocked with all the kitchen kit you might need. The piste (holohike- blue and Holiday - green) are directly over the road so truly ski to door. There is an enormous and well thought out kit room in the garage to remove skis and boots, and a boot warmer so they are ready to go in the morning. The house is lovely and warm with under floor heating. The photos do not do it justice. My daughter was worried the furnishings looked dated as so many hotels are plain white cotton nowadays! But they were thoroughly modern and high quality. There was nothing we would change and would return in a heartbeat. Kim is a fantastic host and helped us with ski pass recommendations and local hire recommendations too. we hope we can return to "KimbersTimbers" soon!
Beautiful cabin in a beautiful place! Check in and out were very easy and owner was very responsive and open to any communication. Highly recommended!!
Enjoyed this home with family. Location is great and was a lot larger than we needed but enjoyed the space

Fabulous!
Amazing cabin perfectly located on the hill. It was the perfect size for a multi generational family get together. Kim helped us to feel exceptionally welcome.
Kim has an absolutely phenomenal property and was a great host. He was very informative and answered all questions we had in a timely manner. Highly recommend!
Everything about the place and our stay was fantastic A few very minor comments; coffee machine is very slow, main floor rooms did not have hooks to hang towels, and since we there during Super Bowl, it would have been nice if the TV was biggerAll of the above are minor, as we loved the place
Our group has been going on an annual class ski trip since we were in university together. We've stayed at many different properties at several ski resorts and this property was our favourite one we've been too. The ski-in/ski-out access is far better than any other place we've stayed, The bedroom layout was great, and the kitchen was very well stocked.
We had a fantastic time on our group ski trip staying at the Kimbers Timbers house. Ski in ski out access right across the street made our time on the mountain super convenient. Kim was a fantastic host who went out of his way to make our accommodations and visit really enjoyable. House was perfect for our stay and the hot tub was a welcome sight after a long day on the mountain. Made so many great memories with friends at the house and at the Fernie Resort. We couldn’t have planned it any better.
We had such a lovely reading week at Kim and Jane’s- the home was expansive and cozy at the same time- great for 2 families with teens. The hosts are very kind and responsive. The ski in and out location was top notch. The ski station in the garage was great and very convenient. We also appreciated that the kitchen was well equipped, since we love to cook. The views are amazing, and it was a lovely place to be holed up in on a couple of the very cold days. We are looking forward to coming back! Thanks Kim and Jane!
This beautiful spacious home is in an excellent ski in/ski out location at Fernie Alpine Resort. We are a family who has used Fernie and an after Christmas gathering spot for many years and we really appreciate the extra space Kimber’s Timbers provided us to enjoy each other’s company and also not trip over each other! (The “kids” aren’t kid-sized anymore.) The kitchen was very well equipped and organized and had everything we needed and the sleeping spaces were very comfortable. We appreciated the space in the garage to store our ski gear. We would definitely return another year.
Limbers Timbers is a great chalet. The hill being right across the road allows for ski in/ski out. The garage/boot room allows for storage of all your gear. And it being heated drys everything off for the next day. The boot/glove dryer is great amenity. And the foseball table was an added bonus.
The chalet itself allowed our group of nine to sleep, eat and lounge comfortably. Kitchen had all the appliances we needed.
Bring sandals to access the hot tub.
Nothing bad to say about this chalet, would definitely recommend and stay there again.
Overall it was very good. There was lots of cupboards in the kitchen, but very few to put any of our food in. Most of them were locked, so we had to put our stuff on the counter. However there was lots of space in kitchen, dining room and in the living room. Getting to the hot tub from the main living space was a bit inconvenient. You had to go out the front door and go down steps and around to the back of the house to get there. We enjoyed our stay.
A group of friends making our annual ski trip spent five nights at Kimber’s Timbers. The house location is fantastic, truly ski-in/ski-out for both the skiers and our one snowboarder.
All the rooms were well sized and comfortably fitted out. We did find the bathrooms a bit small in comparison, hard to share the space for two people at a time.
The view was amazing and I imagine it would be fabulous to sit on the deck during warmer months! Access to the hot tub isn’t convenient as one must walk around the house outdoors to reach it.
Kim was great. He was responsive to questions about the area, and even notified us that the house was available for early check-in on the day.
We had a blast and loved our stay at Fernie.

Impressive timber frame home with stellar views
This one of a kind, true timber frame home was built by hand with love and skill from reclaimed materials from the surrounding area. With stellar mountain views and a super convenient ski-in/ski-out location, you will not be disappointed. The home is incredibly well organized with plenty of gear storage in the garage/mudroom and well stocked throughout. Soaring ceilings, picture windows and intimate gathering spaces are perfect for spending time with friends and family. The kids will enjoy the foosball table in the garage as well as the nooks and crannies for snuggling in with books and games. The covered outdoor hot tub is the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the slopes. The unique European wood-burning stove will keep you cozy while you share unforgettable memories with your loved ones. The large dining table with a view is perfect for big group dinners and the spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms work really well for several families.
From incredible cat skiing adventures to the down-home experience of attending a local hockey game to fantastic restaurants and of course the legendary Fernie pow, Kimber‘s Timbers is the perfect place to enjoy all that Fernie has to offer. The hosts are lovely and incredibly humble, gracious and accommodating. We have been making the rounds to the BC ski areas including Sun Peaks, Silverstar, Revelstoke, Big White, Red Mountain and now Fernie and our Fernie experience was second to none. I highly recommend Kimber’s Timbers for your unforgettable Fernie experience.
We loved our stay in this beautiful, spacious house on the mountain in Fernie. The house is clean and well stocked and is in a peaceful setting among the trees and wildlife. It was the perfect home base for our family. We hope to come back and stay again.
A very unique house with great amenities. The owner stocks it well and maintains the house well. Lots of kitchen supplies and spices, etc.
Great location for skiing.
Our group of 8 guys enjoyed the house and never felt crowded.
Strongly recommend this house.
Sadly my Husband and I was unable to Travel due to covid, but my friends were still able to go, and have a great holiday.
They said that Kimbers timbers was a great location and were impressed with the well equipped kitchen.
Really enjoyed the place. Amazing location steps from the hill, which made for a true ski in and ski out experience. Place was beautiful and huge. Cooked all of our dinners in the chalet and the amenities were excellent. Everything is well marked and easy to find. Hot tub was well used. Would stay again in a heart beat. We were a group of six friends and there was plenty of space for everyone.
