"Room itself was quite nice, no shower gel or shampoo in room. Got woken several times in night by opening and closing of doors by other guests. Breakfast was self service and very basic. Had to chase host for code to access room key after I arrived because it had not been sent in advance which caused us to be late for the event we had travelled for."

"Could be a lovely hotel if more attention paid to lots of little things that add up. On the positive side - Our breakfasts were very good (other than a chipped breakfast cup). Staff were very pleasant. Good parking at back of hotel. Nice little bar area. Very comfortable bed with nice clean linen and towels. Then (if only someone paid attention to detail!), Sticky, grubby door handles and stair rails In the bedroom, coffee cup stains on the dressing table, a dirty pair of socks in the drawer, dried out contact lenses on the bedside table, crumbs around and behind curtain area, mould around windows, cobwebs, curtain off rail. In the bathroom, mould in the shower and paint peeling on the ceiling, rusty shower soap tray, dirt and dust around radiator and on door mouldings, mould around window and on glass. The room in need of a good deep clean, interior of drawers and wardrobe need wiping out."
