LAYOUT OF THE HOLIDAY APARTMENT



Majordoms Llimoner 2 is a well-organised holiday apartment on the second floor of El Pati del Llimoner, a residential building in central Figueres, designed for comfortable self-catering stays. The kitchen is fully equipped for longer visits, with a dishwasher, washing machine, and a Philips L'OR Barista coffee machine. A lift provides easy access from street level.



Second floor



Entrance hall – A small private hallway inside the apartment with an intercom and the climate control panel.



Living and dining area – An open-plan space combining a sitting area with a 2-seat sofa and TV, and a dining zone with a table and 4 chairs. A glass-block skylight above the dining table brings in natural overhead light, with a sliding cover to control it. A sliding glass door leads directly from the sitting area to the main terrace.



Bedroom area – A sleeping area connected to the living space in an open-plan arrangement, with 2 single beds (90 x 200 cm) side by side, a wardrobe and shelving unit, and blackout curtains.



Kitchen – A separate, fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, 2-zone induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Philips L'OR Barista coffee machine, toaster, and kettle. A small table with 2 chairs sits by the kitchen window.



Bathroom – Walk-in shower with a rain shower head and handheld attachment, toilet, sink with LED mirror cabinet, and hairdryer.



Main terrace (courtyard side) – A private 35 m² terrace directly accessible from the living area via sliding glass door, with an outdoor table, 4 chairs, and a retractable awning for shade.



Second terrace (street side) – A smaller private terrace (11 m²), accessible from the apartment.



SURROUNDING AREA



Figueres is the capital of the Alt Empordà and a lively mid-sized town in the province of Girona. It is best known as the birthplace of Salvador Dalí and home to the Dalí Theatre-Museum, one of the most visited museums in Spain. The town has a compact, walkable centre with good cafés, restaurants, and a regular market.



Neighbourhood



The apartment is located on Carrer dels Tapis, a quiet street just a short walk from the Rambla, the old town, and the Dalí Theatre-Museum. Cafés, restaurants, local shops, and markets are within easy reach on foot. The town centre is compact and very walkable.



Town (Figueres)



Figueres has a strong local character, a good food and market scene, and a packed festival calendar throughout the year. The historic centre, the Castell de Sant Ferran fortress, and a range of museums make for easy half-days of exploration between day trips. It is also a convenient base for work stays, with good transport connections and everything you need day-to-day in town.



Province (Girona)



The region is ideal for day trips in any direction: the Costa Brava coast — Roses, Cadaqués and Cap de Creus — is 30–40 minutes by car. Girona city, with its medieval old town and excellent restaurant scene, is around 50 minutes away. The French border is close enough for a half-day excursion, and the Empordà wine routes, the Pyrenean foothills and La Garrotxa volcanic region are all within reach. A particular highlight is the Dalí Triangle, the three sites dedicated to Salvador Dalí: the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres is close by, Casa Dalí in Cadaqués (Portlligat) is around 40 minutes away, and the Castle of Gala in Púbol is around 35 minutes by car.



CLIMATE



The Alt Empordà has a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild winters. July and August are the hottest months, often reaching 28–35°C, with long sunny days and little rain. Spring and autumn are pleasant and quieter, with temperatures between 15–22°C, good conditions for cycling and exploring the region. The area is known for the Tramuntana, a strong north wind that creates excellent conditions for sailing and kitesurfing along the nearby Costa Brava coast, particularly around Roses and the Gulf of Roses. Winters are cool and calm, making the apartment a comfortable base for off-season stays too.

The independent kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, 2-zone induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Philips L'OR Barista coffee machine, toaster, and kettle. The kitchen is fully equipped with at least 2 full sets of cutlery and crockery for all guests.



For laundry, there is a washing machine in the kitchen.



Heating and air conditioning are provided by the building's central air conditioning and heating system. The controls are located in the entrance hallway. Air conditioning is available in the living and sleeping areas.



WiFi is available via a high-speed router in the living room, covering the entire apartment.

ACCESS & PRIVACY



Majordoms Llimoner 2 is rented as an entire holiday apartment for your exclusive use. All indoor spaces are private to your group.



Llimoner 2 is on the second floor of El Pati del Llimoner, a residential building with a lift. The stairwell, lift, and landing are shared with other residents and with the neighbouring Majordoms Llimoner 1 apartment. A cleaning storage area on the second-floor landing is shared between the two apartments.



Guests check in independently using a key box located on the second-floor landing, just outside the apartment door. No need to wait for anyone on arrival. Full instructions, door codes, and arrival details are sent before your stay.



GETTING THERE



Figueres is well connected by road and rail.



By car: Figueres is on the AP-7 motorway (Barcelona to the French border), around 1 hour 40 minutes from Barcelona and around 20 minutes from the French border at La Jonquera. Street parking is available in the surrounding area.



By train: Figueres has two train stations, the main RENFE station for regional trains, and the Figueres-Vilafant high-speed station with connections to Barcelona, Madrid, and France. Girona is around 20 minutes by regional train, and Barcelona around 1 hour by high-speed train.



By air: Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) is around 40 minutes by car. Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN) is around 1 hour 40 minutes by car.



A car is not essential for a Figueres stay. The town centre is fully walkable and public transport connections are good for day trips to Girona and the coast.
