"Sandy and John are what Cape Breton hospitality is all about. Their well appointed home has everything you need and more. The magical path to the beach is lit with fairy lights and although a fire ban was in place during our visit we enjoyed their deck fire pit on crisp October nights. The house is secluded and surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. Internet and a large screen smart tv are available for rainy days. Not a sound was heard or a living soul spotted during our stay and we slept oh so well. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. John and Sandy are responsive hosts and we highly recommend their lovely home. "

We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras like robes and slippers, which added a luxurious touch. After long days of exploring the beauty of Cape Breton, the hotter and fire pit on the porch were the ultimate way to unwind - peaceful, relaxing, and just perfect. "The Lakeside Dome is a perfect spot for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed the view of the lake and it was very close to the Dundee resort where we were attending a wedding. A nice retreat."
