Quality Inn Solomons - Beacon Marina
10/10 Excellent
"Did not use the laundry service. Parking was convenient. On the afternoon of July 17 when we checked in, the refrigerator in the room was not working. The desk clerk very quickly found us another room and solved the quandary. She deserves to be recognized for excellent service."

'The Bayside Escape' Remote Chesapeake Bay Estate
10/10 Excellent
"This is great property for folks looking for accessibility - there’s a ramp and primary bedroom / bath are on the main floor. This was a must for us as we were traveling with elderly parents with limited mobility. The setting is scenic but the location is more remote than some — so good for those looking for a quiet and relaxing time. We enjoyed nearby restaurant called “Old Salty’s.” We appreciated how responsive the host was to our suggestions and questions. We appreciated small details, like laundry baskets in the rooms as well as Tupperware in the kitchen, puzzles and card games in the sitting area. I believe the host is continuing to add more amenities as guests send more suggestions!"

Sunrise Waterfront Cottage in Beautiful Hoopers Island
10/10 Excellent
"This is our second stay at this property. We liked so much that we brought along our dog. Lora was great to work with. We love the dock for crabbing and the quiet for just relaxing. Our dog loved splashing around at a nearby “beach” that was short walk away. She was unsure of getting in the water from the rocks and dock. Weather during our stay was hot and humid, but this property had fantastic air conditioning. Already thinking about our next visit. Also, thank you to the neighbor for the lesson on soft shelled crabs."

Charming Waterfront Farmhouse 10 minutes from Blackwater NWR - Pet Friendly
10/10 Excellent
"Property is beautiful and well taken care of. We had a small problem when we got there but the host answered right away and everything was taken care of quickly. House is well supplied with everything you need. Pet friendly house. There is only 1 dog crate available between the 2 houses. I don't think thats clear in the description. If you need 2 or if it's being used you have to take your own. The island is beautiful and quiet. Very friendly people."

Cottage on the Bay
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great time unwinding at this secluded and peaceful location. The house has everything we needed for a relaxing few days. We especially enjoyed the screened porch with a large view of the water in the distance. We watched cargo ships and cruise liners traversing the bay as we tracked them on the marine traffic website. We took lots of pics of ospreys, eagles and sunsets from the dock, where we also watched through binoculars as the Blue Angels conducted an air show directly across the bay at Pax River. There is a lot of terrapin nesting activity on the island this time of year. We were lucky to see many of them, some crossing the roads and even one laying eggs near the house. We spent one lazy afternoon having a nice outdoor dinner at Salty's in Fishing Creek. All-in-all, it was a wonderful weekend. We would love to return."
