"Excellent location for exploring Bergen, near all the famous Bergen’s venues. Excellent breakfast, buffet had many variety. My favorite was the freshly made smoothie. The check in process was sort of unusual, if the room is ready you need to pay extra if you want to check in before 3 pm. For tourist traveling long distance the ability to check in early is very desirable. This hotel noticed that and tried to make money from it which is not customer friendly in my opinion."

"Our room was comfortable. I found it hard to know how to adjust the temperature. The chain lock on the door had been damaged so it could not be used. When we went to leave I could not get the door to open and thought we were trapped. I tried several times over a minute and then with a shove with the palm of my hand it finally unlocked. The shower is wide open on one side and water goes under the swinging glass panel"

"I've stayed here before, and love it now just as I loved it then. Excellent breakfast, incredibly helpful and accommodating staff, everything is always clean, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Also affordable and close enough walking distance to the city center and other restaurants and convenient stores!"

"Renovated property but I guess minor work still needs to complete for e.g., there was no partition between the shower area and the rest of the bathroom. No hanging place for clothes in the bathroom. Otherwise the hotel is great and very well located"

"The room was thoughtfully spare, with cubbies strategically placed and overhead racks providing extra storage. Breakfast was excellent with many options to suit different palettes. First time I’ve seen whole avocados available at a breakfast buffet! The sauna room with a view of the lake was a very nice bonus!"

"We had a good one night stay at the Scandic Torget hotel. Small, clean, quiet room. AC didn’t work, but the front desk sent up a fan that made sleeping a lot more comfortable. The staff was professional and courteous. Hotel is centrally located, within easy walking distance of all Bergen attractions."
