"Pros and cons:Pro - The price was good. The property was very clean and well-stocked. Check in/out was quick and easy, and the host was very responsive.Cons - The house is far from everything. We chose it thinking we’d have equal access to the east and west sides of Glacier, and that is true. But it’s 30-45 minutes from any food, groceries, or gas on either side. And, we found that options on the east side were pretty scarce, so we ended up going to West Glacier (hour round trip) when we needed anything. Noise. The house sits on the only major highway in the area, with train tracks in the back yard. The highway noise was actually more annoying than the trains, though it is loud enough that you have to pause the TV if you’re watching while it passes, though it never woke us from sleep. The host does provide ear plugs if needed.Few maintenance issues. The first night, we had no hot water. We notified the host, and they had it fixed the next day while we were in the park. Then, a bedroom light fixture stopped working. New light bulbs did not fix it, so we moved a lamp in rather than have maintenance come in again. The washer hoses appear to have been switched, so my clothes got washed in scalding hot water despite selecting “cold”, and the hot water ruined one of my shirts. It was kind-of obvious that this is a company-run house, not a home that someone really cares about. All in all, it was okay. Probably wouldn’t stay again, but if you’re looking for inexpensive, it is."
"No one was at the office to check us in. The note on the door said to go two blocks down the street to the grocery store or trailer park. We did not get a good feeling about the location so we drove another 2 hours and found a different hotel. "

Great Bear Yurt - Off-Grid, Backcountry Experience - Between GNP & Bob Marshall
10/10 Excellent
"This was a wonderful off the grid experience. The kids love the trains going by and the ski trails were so fun to explore. The yurt has a very nice set up and really immerses you in nature."
"The cabin was beautifly set up at a distance from other cabins which gave us our privacy. We had all the bedding and kitchen appliances we could ask for including waffle iron, mixer, and kettles. I can honestly say we had everything we needed including Bear Spray, fire wood, and hammocks."
