Spent a long weekend getting out of the Florida heat with our 2 huskies. Cabin was pet friendly with fenced in area for the dogs and lovely balconies to enjoy the shade, cooler weather and lovely views. Host was very responsive.
Me and a few friends chose this property for our Friendsgiving staycation. All I can say is this place is 10/10 the service, amenities, and location are all amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a family friendly get away!
Our family stayed for 4 days, 3 nights. We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful place to unwind after some difficult months. It was quiet, natural, and breathtakingly beautiful!
We loved our mountain getaway up in the cabin! It had everything we needed with even a book of suggestions that were helpful. We loved being close enough to Boone and West Jefferson for day trips then we could surround ourselves by beautiful views of the nearby Christmas tree farms! Can't wait to return!!!
My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway and honestly it was amazing. The views were fantastic and it was misty and magical. The house was great for us. Beds were comfortable, and we loved cooking on the Blackstone. Elisabeth was a wonderful host and she made she we were totally comfortable.
This picturesque setting of this cozy cabin made for a very relaxing and rejuvenating escape from the Lowcountry heat and humidity. The drive to Boone and Blowing Rock along the parkway gave opportunities for short hikes with our dogs. This dog friendly property, complete with fenced exercise and play yard, makes a great getaway.
The property owner was easy to reach.Home has beautiful views..plenty of room for your family. Home has everything we needed home away from home.We would definitely recommend. Thank you for sharing your home
The views at this cabin are stellar. The host was informative and accommodating. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with lots of things around to do if you decide to. The cabin was well appointed with the perfect blend of modern and rustic. Just what we needed.
Elisabeth’s cabin was the perfect getaway for a quiet peaceful weekend. The views from either of the back decks rivaled any that I have ever seen. The cabin was well equipped and had a cozy atmosphere. We truly hated it when it was time to leave, but we will definitely be back.
This property is just what we were looking for.
A group of us went tubing! Then some of us came to this beautiful cabin to make a nice dinner and relax after being in the sun all day.
The views were amazing, nice quiet neighborhood, and clean.
We will be staying longer next time!
We absolutely loved Elisabeth’s cabin! It was located in a beautiful neighborhood right on the river and super convenient to Boone! The kids absolutely loved all the toys kept at the cabin. The little touches were amazing. Host communication was fantastic - she was super responsive/helpful when we had a hiccup with check in! Can’t wait to stay again :)
Thanks again Elisabeth!!
The cabin was lovely and well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and utensils, and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and supportive, and we slept well! The host was a pleasure to communicate with. Lovely views of the mountains and river with convenient river access. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Highly recommend, thank you!
The mountains are calling, and this cozy cabin is the answer! This well-appointed home has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay and the views have no comparison!
The location is perfect for easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock & West Jefferson.
The hosts are exceptional, answering questions quickly and ensuring every detail is met.
10 out of 10!
What a magical place to celebrate Mother’s Day! We really enjoyed all the special touches and attention to detail at this property. The kids loved the bunk room and the toy space in the loft. We loved the different views that each side of the cabin provided, the comfortable beds, and the cozy fireplace. The host was wonderful to communicate with and has put a great deal of thought and heart into this property. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
Its stunning mountain-top setting made for a peaceful, beautiful getaway. We spent time on the great back porch overlooking the valley listening to the wild turkeys in the yard and sporadic rain on the roof. The house was perfect for the two of us but can easily accommodate more. It was very clean and well-appointed. The owners have tried to think of everything and have created a special spot in the mountains of North Carolina.
Ideally situated for a short getaway from the Triangle area. Quiet. PEACEFUL. Convenient to Boone. BR Parkway. Blowing Rock. All you need to enjoy your time in this area of NC mountains!
We cooked in all three days. Comfy beds. EZ relaxation awaits.
The house is exactly as described, everything was super nice and clean! It was a really cold weekend and the house was super warm, I would suggest only to put a more powerful heater on the ground level! Besides that everything was 10!
This cabin felt like home. We watched the sunset over a mountain that looked like a painting. The kids played with every game, dart, and toy available. It was set up so well for children. The couch had a view of the mountain from three windows. One mountain had a tree farm at the top which was beautiful during the sunrise. Everything was very welcoming and comfortable.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at this cabin. It is in a great location close to lots of options for hiking and other attractions. The house itself is also so comfortable and peaceful with so many amenities, it is a great place to spend time and enjoy the lovely views in all directions. The furnishings are very cozy with so many special touches, you can tell a lot of thought and care has been put in to it. We appreciated that the kitchen was very functional and well stocked with the essentials. Very detailed information was provided about the house and the surrounding area, too, which was helpful. We hope to come back again!
This is one of the best VRBO rentals we have rented. The view from the three porches always drew your attention with all of the changing conditions…from sunny to misty to rainy and at sunset. The house is beautifully appointed and is located in a very quiet neighborhood. The mattresses were so comfortable. The river can be viewed from the back porch and there is a local restaurant by the river where we dined twice and enjoyed good food. It is about a 20-25 minute drive into Boone with so much to view along the way. We hope to return next summer.
What a beautiful place to spend Christmas! The view was amazing. The house is spacious and cozy, perfect for the holidays or anytime of year. There was plenty to do inside or out. The hosts are awesome and respond quickly to any inquiries. Would love to come back and stay in the fall to see the colors of the leaves from the back porches point of view, I bet it’s breathtaking!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home on the hill! If we decide to come back to North Carolina again, we would love to stay here again.
