Great House On The Prairie

I had a wonderful few days hiking with my dog. Great house and immense amount of property and land to walk the dog in, even if I didn’t want to drive to the trails to hike. Fabulous retreat! And the hostess was great and accommodating.

The cabin was nice and clean and exactly as pictured. Check in was easy and communication with the host was easy and prompt. It was nice to be able to relax by the fire pit and grill outside with our dog. We had a great time.

We had an incredible weekend here in this lovely cabin that exceeded expectations. The large dining table was perfect for board games! Would highly recommend for nerdy retreats with friends where you want to be cozily ensconced in nature with plenty of time and space for games!

Quiet, beautiful mountain view-home.

We had a wonderful peaceful stay. The views and property and home itself are first class. Perfect for us. Make sure to bring food and supplies as nearest stores and restaurants are a half hour or more away as one drives through the winding and beautiful mountain roads.

We had a wonderful time soaking in the great views, peace and solitude during our stay. Adina was a wonderful host. She answered questions, helped with some logistics and had the house amazingly clean when we arrived for our early check in. There was more than ample room for our family (two adults, 4 kids and 1 infant) to spread out and relax, and the big kitchen w/ quality appliances made for easy ability to cook and have family meals. What a perfect getaway! The property was breath taking and the home had everything needed for our stay, the owner was beyond kind, would stay again in a heartbeat! The area was so gorgeous, we came from Pittsburgh, Pa so you can only imagine how much nature meant to us, lots of hiking and trip to Woodstock! Our Golden retriever loved every second! God's work right out your door!

I believe that the property’s description underestimates nature’s spectacular beauty that this lodge takes you to, we crave solitude, the sight of rising mist before sun rise, the sounds of crickets at down, being visited by a family of wild turkeys unexpectedly, and we got that and more, it was so quite and serene, we could hear our thoughts. This place is an undiscovered gem and I hope it stays as such. Edina, the property owner ,was gracious, kind and supportive , a role model. If nature is on your mind, if you want to know how Henry David Thoreau felt at Walden , this is the place.

Everything was wonderful. The property and view were better than expected. House was cozy and warm. The exposed beams and fireplace totally added to the upstate feel. It snowed the whole time we were there. We felt like we were in a snow globe with all the big windows. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. I would love to experience it in the summer time as well.
