Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well prepared. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Mariscos holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to slip on and off.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and ankles moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
