Unresolved maintenance issue, good stay otherwise

We stayed 2 nights. Our barhroom light was not working over the sink, which meant i couldnt get dressed in front of the mirror. I told the front desk and checked in sevwral times, but nothing was ever done. It was supposed to be fixed and never was and we were never moved. That was disappointing and for the price we paid for a small town hotel, I expected better. Overall, the hotel is clean, breakfast was good, the stay was good.

This hotel is dirty. I chose this hotel based off of reviews. Carpets are dirty. Sheets appeared clean. Walls had odd stains on them. Room did not appear sanitized. Due to purchasing under hotels.com, the hotel said to take my complaints up with them. Parking lot is not well lit. I was hesitant the whole I was there.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Hartsville, SC for one night and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well-kept. I felt completely safe during my stay, which is so important when traveling. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and I truly enjoyed my time there. It was exactly what I needed for a quick overnight stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again whenever I’m back in the area!
