it was a great experience being in the middle of the jungle and yet feel safe! Loved the spider monkeys and the hawker monkeys! Staff was cordial and very nice!

Jungle Lodge
Location: - amazing and very convenient to get to the ruins. -Beautiful being amongst flora and fauna with clear view of the stars. The jungle gets loud at night so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper Facilities: - shower pressure varied but generally pretty good - the food was decent but obviously overpriced. Many choices for good and drink at the restaurant at Jungle Lodge and a few other choices at the other lodges. - the pool was in major need of a facelift. It was very unappealing and was actually quite disappointed because it looked so icky that I didn’t have a dip, despite the weather being very hot and humid. -rooms are comfortable, clean, and compact, and the bedding was soft and smelled clean. Service: - shuttles are provided at specific times for $15 USD/way or $20USD/roundtrip, which was very convenient and a good price if you’re flying into Flores. - employees at reception were friendly and helped when they could - employees in the restaurant were not as welcoming - it is possible to arrange tours from the hotel but the quality of the guides seems to vary greatly. I did the sunrise tour and was given very little information from the guide. Others in my group were told they would get information on the tour about the temples and the Mayans and did not, which was very frustrating for them. Even without much explanation from the guide, the sunrise tour was beautiful and I highly recommend you try (perhaps from another agency).

Good for the sunset tour, but for nothing else
I get it, it's in the jungle so you have to temper expectations, and yet you get the feeling things could have been so much better. Mattresses are extremely uncomfortable and since the place only has power for a few hours a day, the fans go out and the rooms become stuffy and uncomfortable. You basically don't have Wifi or coverage in the rooms. Shared showers are mostly cold water, so not the most pleasant experience. Service is slow and apathetic. When my private tour to Yaxha showed up almost an hour after schedule, they didn't flinch. Thankfully I cancelled, got a shared tour a day later for a fraction of the cost and had a blast. Some of these things were perhaps to be expected, others - not so much,

The accommodation was not so bad but like many of these places they trap you in with food and drink prices because you have no other options. This is a convenient location to stay but not special enough for the prices

Jungle Lodge Tikal
The hotel is in a beautiful environment. The plants, flowers, insects, birds, and monkeys, are all amazing. You have to walk to the pyramids so get ready to do some exercise. You also have to buy your tickets for tours and entrance into the part before you get there. I used Banrural. The bathrooms are shared and outside most of the rooms. Internet is poor. The is no air conditioning in the rooms, but there is a fan. Take your mosquito repellent. I would like to come back with my family.

5 Star Service surrounded by nature
I work in the travel industry and have been blessed to stay in many 5 Star/Diamond rated properties and was pleasantly surprised with the amazing 5 Star service provided by the staff at this hotel. It's not very often that you can say EVERY SINGLE STAFF member that you encountered offered superb service - front desk, bellman, servers, bartenders, housekeeping, maintenance, tour guides, and drivers. It was so amazing that I didn't want to leave and changed my shuttle to a later time. I want to give the staff members a standing ovation. Nice work team. The room was cozy with bug netting (thankfully, not needed), restaurant had delicious options, community areas were plentiful and comfortable including hammocks, and the pool area with large deck was epic with lots of wildlife to see. The ease of getting to/from the ruins was unheard of, especially if you want to do the sunrise/sunset hike. The only criticism I have is that I think the hotel should encourage more eco-friendly behaviors like reusing water bottles (since there is a water refill station in the lobby) instead of providing new ones every time you clean the room and leaving hanging towels to save water consumption. Come on people, reuse and reduce your footprint. Who doesn't travel with a refillable water bottle?! It's so easy.

This place is really nice! We had a room with shared bathroom, the room is cute and cozy and the bathrooms are really nice. The staff is super friendly. It's a short walk to the park.

perfect setting to explore Tikal, and to enjoy the jungle. One thing that could be improved is Wifi. It was terrible at best.

The fact that this property is in the jungle makes it amazing! We stayed in the hostel portion of the lodge and the only downside is that there are daily planned power outages. So plan to wake up to your devices not being charged!

Very nice stay
Our hostal was comfortable. There were no glass windows, just fly screens for ventilation and the sounds of the jungle are very laudable on the premises. Everything was very clean and the staff very nice and helpful. It’s worth it to stay so close to the park entrance. The restaurant food was good and payment could be charged to the room and paid at the end.

I love how it is right next to the Tikal ruins. After travelling for 9-10 hrs, it is such a relief to just walk right at the park. Their electricity is 'rationed' which is such a big and welcome change. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Our guide, Alberto is amazing as well!

It's in the middle of a jungle, you can walk to Tikal. You can see cool birds and monkeys. They have a pool. Food is great , staff is very friendly

Right next to Tikal but poor service
Good location but assigned a room next to the restaurant with no windows so quite noisy. Restaurant staff had attitude with simple requests. Failed to respond to emails inquiry about transport so had to arrange more expensive private transport.

Everything was well maintained, room and bed very comfortable and clean. The staff all friendly and helpful. The restaurant meals were fantastic, prices were modest mostly for the huge portions, all served by helpful and smiling staff. The only negative is their pathways made with different size and height stones holding with cement. Making it hard and dangerous to walk around, mostly for elderly folks.

This is truly a jungle lodge. It's inside the park, so you hear the wildlife. It's like other wilderness lodges I've seen, limited hours of electricity (bring a flashlight), some unique quirks, but all very nice. The restaurant is quite good too.

Very nice without being ostentatious. Set up both for those on a tighter budget with small cabins and bathrooms, and for those with a little more flex. A very nice pool to soak in after a wonder around the temples of Tikal. Great selection of guided tours from the hotel into the Park. Tony Ortiz was our guide; extraordinary! This man watched his dad and colleagues make some of the first discoveries at Tikal. He knows the place like the back of his hand - not just the magnificent structures, but the flora and fauna. And, importantly, he is excited about what he is showing. We took the sunrise tour. Getting up at 3:45am was well worth it. I’ll never forget the experience of watching the jungle wake up from Temple IV as sun rose over this ancient city.

The rooms and bathroom are really clean and confortable. The swimming pool is perfect to relax after visiting Tikal. The staff was really nice and helped us to got tickets quite late! Only the restaurant has definitly to improve.. The food is quite expensive and not good.

Fine for what it is
Cheapest rooms are extremely basic which is fine, unfortunately it is very hard to get air flowing through the room as there is just 1 small window. This results in extremely hot and humid nights which I couldn't sleep in. The restaurant is actually quite good, the prices aren't crazy considering the location and the food was very tasty (highly recommend the french toast with bananas for breakfast). The shared bathrooms were very nice and modern however people leave the doors open and the lights on which results in an absurd number of bugs. Maybe a sign to keep the door closed would be helpful. At the end of the day, you are here to see Tikal with a convenient location, I wouldn't stay longer than you need (2 nights was plenty).
