Cozy one bedroom with full kitchen. Perfect getaway spot close to town. Joins National Park property. If you like hiking, it’s close by. If you like biking a trail, it’s by your door. If you like a country howdown they got one in Floyd. You won’t believe all the other cool stuff they have going on inFloyd. And then, when you’re done doing all that, you can settle back in at the Sleepy Bear, relax on the porch and listen to the birds and the breeze.

Very cute and comfortable. If you love being in the woods but close to town it’s perfect. It was a pleasure running into the owner at a brewery performing music. He managed to over hear chatting with the locals realize I was there and came over to say hi. That was really cool and made my stay feel more homie and welcomed. I plan to be back.

The property and it’s near twin, Sleepy Bear #2, sit near one another but otherwise surrounded only by grass and, beyond that, woods and in one direction, a view. Isolated and quiet, with only the occasional sound of a car on the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, the cabin is a lovely place to spend a weekend or a week. It’s newly built to high standards, with well-running central A/C and heat on a thermostat. The television is slightly a challenge to figure out, but gives a wide range of channels. Less than ten minutes drive to Floyd.

Conveniently located 200 feet off the Blueridge Parkway near mile marker 163. A quiet newer cabin on a beautiful setting. Would be perfect for bikers, both motorized and non, traveling the parkway.
