"We love the location. It was close to downtown, but very quiet. The view from the balcony is quite impressive of the harbour and also of the ships in the harbor. Our host was very responsive to any questions that we had. We would go back in a heartbeat"

"This is probably the nicest holiday rental we have ever visited and we have rented many units all over the world. The unit is exquisitely decorated, clean, and has all of the amenities one could want. The 3 beds are very comfortable and the linens are fresh and soft. It was warm during our visit and having the windows open and using the ceiling fans did the trick. The two baths are clean and the showers have good pressure and lots of hot water.The kitchen is fully equipped should you wish to cook. We didn’t because there are too many fabulous restaurants in and around St. John’s.The view of the harbour, whether from the living room or balcony is perfect. If you have never had the opportunity to watch the comings and goings of a shipping port, this is the place to be. The host information was accurate and timely. There are too many thoughtful touches in the unit to list. The unit is located within walking distance of the harbour, Signal Hill, many restaurants, shops and bars, yet is in a quiet location. We made numerous day trips from here to other locations around St. John’s and it was perfect.We highly recommend staying here."

"Difficult to summarize such a vacation. For our family, as we were saying goodbye to one another we embraced, and all agreed the best way to describe it was magical. We could not have chosen a better or more convenient place to stay. The views were glorious, even on days when the thick fog came drifting in from the sea. Spectacular! Our place was clean and accommodated our family of 5 perfectly. David, our host was lovely to communicate with. Our home for the week was clean and tidy, The bathrooms were very pretty. Book shelves were stocked well with interesting reads. I thought that was a very nice touch. The kitchen - well appointed. The city was easy to get around, many shops, and wonderful restaurants. We rented electric bikes which took a little getting use to but was so much fun when we mastered the hills in St John's . We got to know a few of neighbors in the area - all very friendly. One of our fav things to do was walk the trails and linger with coffee in the mornings with two lovely decks to choose from. I would love to go back and hope to. All of us felt the same. For us, as previously stated, it was magical. Our only regret is that we wished we had reserved two weeks instead of one. Thank you to our hosts your home was perfect!"

"It was a lovely place by the harbour, granted lots of fencing and equipment around but your experience with the seeing the fishing boats, the hill before you, harbour, narrows, walk to lighthouse, the battery scenery, the sunrise/sunsets is unmeasureable. I would rent again from this host & recommend others as well. The porch was nice to relax on and take it all in. I loved the walk to the ships piers to see the fish caught and them cutting the cob. Friendly people. Everything was comfortable inside. Centrally located. Lots gem places to discover. Was interesting to experience fog rolling in."
The Battery Harbour Home, Ocean&City View,Parking

"This was a perfect home away from home for our group of 6 adults. Each couple had their own bathroom and plenty of space to either be altogether or chill out by ourselves. There was an extra bedroom that we didn't use that could be for another couple or a couple of kids. It was a bonus to have the extra kitchen downstairs, although we didn't need it on this trip, I have rented lots of vacation homes and not had enough refrigeration space for all the food that is needed with a large group. We enjoyed the main balcony that overlooked the harbor, it could have had some outdoor chairs but we moved the kitchen chairs out while sitting outside.This home was in a perfect area for walking to town. Very close to drive to Signal Hill and the Rooms. We also drove to Cape Spear and did the Irish Loop.Parking is not that great, we had a large van that would not fit under the balcony but had no problem parking across the street. Overall, this was a great, very clean vacation rental. I always have a lot of questions, and the hosts responded very quickly to each one. I would recommend this home and would also rent again if coming to St. Johns."
