This VRBO is the best yet. The owners were delightful to work with; the amenities were over the top and everything was labeled and easy to find. There is so much they offer that I've never seen before...it's like walking into your own house! We were even treated to a Charcuterie Board with individual cups filled to the brim with deliciousness! The beds were very comfy...the house was charming and very well thought out with so much character. I'd definitely return to this bungalow in Fort Atkinson!
We were headed to the Fireside for a 60's musical...so we got into the spirit by doing our hair!

This was our second time staying at this property and it was a great experience again! We love how clean the home is kept and love all the available extra amenities throughout the home. If I had to sum it up in two words: WORTH IT! Words cannot describe the feeling you get inside this home. You simply have to experience it. It’s warm and fun and classy and sassy and has everything you could ever possibly think of or need at your fingertips. Every room is interesting! Not to mention all the fun stuff it has to offer. This place is absolutely incredible! It has everything you need for any kind of stay you'd like to have- entertainment, spacious rooms, comfortable nooks, ect. Everything in the kitchen and other parts of the house are labeled or have instructions right by them, which made it so easy to navigate and find what you need. It was very clean and well taken care of, and the Host communicated very clearly all check in and check out instructions. The property and spaces within the house exceeded all of my expectations and we had a wonderful time staying here. I would absolutely love to stay here again sometime.

We arrived at this beautiful bungalow that had so many rooms and so many neat spaces that we were so excited to explore and enjoy, the rest of our family came to visit for a few hours, and we were all together. Holy bananas!

Amazing, organized, relaxing, perfection are the words I would use for Twila and her space. She communicated and accommodated our group to make the weekend wonderful and memorable. This is an exceptional property! Only a short walk to down town Ft. Atkinson. We have a large immediate family and wanted to stay all together to attend our son's wedding. Home away from home.

This lovely home had everything we could need and so much more. It felt like a home away from home. We were able to host family a couple different times and create lasting memories. The bonus room above the garage was the perfect area to host. The hosts Twila and Robert have succeeded in perfecting the art of creating an amazing and memorable VRBO experience. It was the perfect place for us to spend time with each other and family. We look forward to returning.

Wedding weekend

Out of town family stayed here for a wedding. It was perfect!!! Clean, central location, quiet neighborhood and beautiful inside and out. Nice big table to gather around and comfy reclining sofas. We did not get to use the game room, kayaks, or bikes because we were so busy with the wedding events. A plus from all who stayed and we would all return here for a gathering.

Great Family Rental

Great property on the water. Have never been to a rental that had everything - kitchen was fully equipped, kayaks, canoe, ping pong, video games, basketball game, fire pit, numerous locations to hang out - inside and out! The home was spotless. The hosts responded immediately to any questions, provided local recommendations and even checked in with us to be sure all was going well. They also provided a really special treat for our arrival! I give them an A+++.

Absolutely Fabulous Accommodations

This is a 5+ star accommodation. We absolutely could not believe how amazing and beautiful this place was. The pictures just cannot show all the detail and thought that was put into every detail to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay (all the extra amenities). They truly thought of everything that someone may need!! This is a vacation inside of itself and you would never have to leave the premises. We will make this a once a year stay if not more. First class!

Amazing place for families and young kids!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property! The host were wonderful and communicative and they even had a whole charcuterie board ready for us when we arrived. We were there with some toddlers and they had an absolute blast. The property is really set up very well for kids. They had pack and plays more toys than you can imagine a crib, a toddler bed and an outdoor playset. The host were extremely kind and gave us great recommendations and had the place all set up and ready for our kids. It was also very, very clean and well organized. They have everything you could possibly need. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this home! The house itself was great! Upon entering we noticed how clean the home was. There were so many amenities throughout the home, anything you may have forgotten at home the owners had supplied for you! The kitchen was fully stocked with all your cooking needs which was great! We were surprised at how many little things were supplied for us in the kitchen.. coffee, creamer, aluminum foil, paper products etc. Our family enjoyed the game room as well as the fire pit area right on the water. The owners were excellent to work with and we definitely recommend this property!

Perfect weekend getaway

This was the most organized rental we have ever stayed in! Twila and Robert thought of everything we could possibly need for everyone who stayed ranging from ages 2 to 70! It was so nice to not have to worry about bringing all the extra gear for our toddler (stroller, pack n play, toys, etc.) We had 3 families stay for a 70th birthday celebration and there was plenty of space and things to do for all of us! We rented a pontoon one day from Anchor and enjoyed eating at the restaurant after and the kids loved the playground and sandy area there as well. Twila was awesome at communicating whenever we needed anything or wanted suggestions on places to go. I highly recommend staying at their bungalow!

Wonderful

The bungalow is so thought out and well cared for. It has nearly every amenity, labels and instructions everywhere. Our group of 11 adults enjoyed a lot of time in the eagles best lodge. The river levels were at record highs so unfortunately we didn’t get the opportunity to use the canoe and kayaks. Everyone said their beds were comfy and showers were very nice. The homeowners were easy to reach by text and checked several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend this to anyone!

So many options

This location provided lots of choices for activities, conversation, kitchen assists. There was something for everyone from babies through septuagenarians (we were the latter)! Indoor activities. Outdoor activities. A well equipped kitchen. Many sitting areas inside and out. The hosts were responsive to our simple request. Be sure to stop there before grocery shopping to see what "basics" are there that you won't have to buy. Be aware that there are lots of stairs.

Great place for a getaway with friends and family

Booked this house for a weekend guys trip. Five life long friends had plenty of room within the house for sleeping, it has a great man cave / bar area to hang out in above the garage / game room that overlooked the river which was fantastic. The town is a ten minute walk from the house, so it’s great for bar crawls, and communication with the owners was fantastic. They were very responsive and also left us with a few extra things food wise we were pleasantly surprised to find and were definitely appreciated. There’s history about the home itself throughout the house and the backyard with the fire pit and game room would make both adults and kids happy. It’s a great town, very nice people and good food. I would highly recommend this house to anyone whether it be for an adult trip or family vacation.

Eagle's Nest is the Best

Our group of 10 adults had the pleasure of staying at this gorgeous property over an extended holiday weekend and had a wonderful time! Robert and Twila ensured the home was well maintained and stocked with essentials (in case we forgot anything) and were prompt in responding to our questions. As other reviews have mentioned, the Eagle's Nest is indeed everyone's favorite place! We enjoyed kayaking, playing games, bbq'ing and hanging out by the river. We even met their wonderful neighbors who were kind enough to introduce us to their home-canned dilly beans! Our stay felt less like a rental and more like staying at a family member's home. Thanks again Robert and Twila! Hope to stay again in the future!

Wonderful stay! Lots of activities!

We stayed at the bungalow when we were in town to run a 5K for a charity organization. It is a great place to stay! There are so many activities to do: ping pong, air hockey basketball, darts, playground for the kids, fishing, plus tons of board games... we didn't turn the TV on all weekend! Our kids are already asking to go back! The owners were really informative of activities and restaurants in the area. Great suggestions for dinner! Also, I mentioned I loved nachos and they sent me their recommendation for nachos with photos! The house is completely stocked with anything you could need. They also had plenty of snacks out and even a charcuterie board for us to enjoy! It was such a nice surprise. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Pure Bliss

We have rented VRBO homes for many, many years. Currently we are a group of 7 - ages ranging from 16 to 83. This house is exceptional. Twila and Robert are extremely generous in what they provide and communicating with them is easy. It is obvious they want all who stay here to have a wonderful time, and we did. We love to hike and good hiking trails are close by. We also love to kayak - which we did often - using the kayaks there are provided. Sometimes we ate dinner inside in the spacious dining room. Sometimes we ate outside on the deck. Sometimes we did puzzles together (most were furnished) in the living room and sometimes we did them in the bonus room over the garage. Bike riding and ping pong were also thoroughly enjoyed. This house is extremely spacious, well organized, welcoming, and lovely. It was easy to just relax and enjoy our time together. Fabulous stay in perfect home!

We stayed in this beautiful home for our son's wedding. It was absolutely perfect in every way and our hosts Twila and Robert made everything so easy. We were able to have some extended family over for a fajita dinner the night after the wedding and the second floor with deck above the garage was spacious and comfortable. Our family really enjoyed the game room in the garage as well. When we travel and stay in VRBO's, I usually end up buying things for the kitchen but this was the most well equipped and organized kitchen (and home) we have ever encountered. As a matter of fact, I actually took a few pictures with my phone as a reminder of ways that I could improve organization of my own kitchen. We were too busy to kayak and canoe on the Rock River but a few family members did some catch and release fishing from the dock. I hope that we can go back to this house sometime in the future when we don't have so many wedding obligations. We would love to spend time kayaking the Rock and Bark Rivers and exploring all that Fort Atkinson has to offer. We travel and rent quite a bit and this was the most organized well-equipped comfortable home we have stayed in. Twila and Robert have thought of everything and at least one (or both) are organizing superstars. It was a fabulous stay and we were completely "over the moon" for the house.
