"The stairs area is very rundown. The room was clean. Beds were comfortable. We had a leak in our bathroom sink so when we went into the bathroom, the floor was flooded. We were tired and wanted to go to bed, but we had to sit in the room while maintenance. Tried to fix it for over an hour. Luckily, they finally gave us another room. The breakfast was very good. I didn’t find the staff to be super pleasant other than the maintenance guy was very friendly."
"Stunk like cigarettes. Musty! Noisy! Room had broken curtain, bright lights were coming in. Air unit made a terrible noise. The best part was getting the hell out of there. "
"This hotel was in a good location, but needs some updating. We also received a room that had previously been smoked in and the staff did not know. How does the maid service not know that someone smoked in a non-smoking room. They had no other rooms to move us in so we opened all of the windows, turned on the exhaust fans, and turned up the ac fans in our room. Would think they would give us a discount on the room, but nothing was offered.
This room also had a very rust tub that would be inexpensive to replace along with other things that needed replacing."
"This hotel is an embarrassment to the Holiday Inn name. All the common areas were dirty and without air conditioning. Outside there was accumulated trash including beer cans and food refuse. We weren’t told at check in about the a/c problems so when we came down for breakfast we could either eat in the heat with a small fan blowing or we could leave. We chose to leave. We were told that we would be charged a $25 fee up front for “incidentals” which would be refunded after we left. I’m still waiting for my money"
"For it's location, the property is excellent. Overall, it was very good. The staff are super friendly and courteous. The amenities are not the best, but also not bad at all. If you need to stay in Winters, Texas...this IS ABSOULTELY WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. The hotel is average is most ways. It is maintained well and is very clean and there is nothing offensive here at all. I would say that the fitness center needs to open earlier than 6:00 am and probably should be 24 hours like most places. I had to skip my morning work outs due to the late opening time. Again, working in the area, this is where I will be staying."
