Davis Mountains Hideaway-Cactus Flower Cabin

10/10 Excellent

"This property was amazing and the host was so sweet! The view is so good and the cabin is comfortable. The birds were fun to watch. The host had everything we needed and more; she had shampoo and conditioner, body wash, towels, and a shelf full of extra things we needed but forgot about. Overall, it was an amazing stay."

Butterfield Inn Main Street Cottages

10/10 Excellent

"The place is quite charming. Right in downtown Ft. Davis, which is so small that street noise doesn't exist. It's less than 4 miles from Davis Mountains State Park, and about half an hour from Balmorhea State Park. The bathrooms have lots of high-quality towels, the kitchen was excellent, the beds comfortable. Everything was very clean! In our case, two couples came to hang out, to cook meals together, to hike and birdwatch together in this beautiful part of the country. This place fit the bill! I would never stay anywhere else in Ft. Davis. But the most important piece was the excellent service provided by the office staff. Audriana was so very easy to work with. She is kind, connected, readily available for questions, and went above and beyond to make our stay truly smooth and memorable. The only thing I suggest is that you book your visit directly through VRBO instead of through a third party. For example, if you simply search for housing in Ft. Davis and choose a listing, including this one, a third party handles your reservation. There is no reason for that - it is my understanding that the third party simply takes a piece of the money you spend, maybe even adding to the cost. I would much rather support owners rather than third party vendors."

Fort Davis Drug Store Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our stay at Fort Davis Drug Store. The room was very clean and well maintained and the shared spaces were very unique! We had a lot of fun checking out all of the games (pool, checkers, foosball, etc.) and spending time downstairs. Fort Davis was a fun town and everyone was very friendly. I would recommend this location a thousand times over for anyone looking to stay in the area."

Contemporary all new, entire home perfect for a luxury getaway

10/10 Excellent

"The place was, clean, the host very amiable and ready to answer any questions. He quickly responded to queries., The kitchen had up to date appliances and plenty of pots and pans and baking equipment.Besides a wonderful place to relax the view of the mountains is great. It is also easy to get to the McDonald observatory, Fort Davis, the Chihuahuan Desert Institute,"
