The Rusty Buffalo in charming Fort Davis

10/10 Excellent

"Mark responded within an hour with every email request. The house met our expectations for a stay in Fort Davis, TX. Would stay here again if ever came back to Fort Davis, TX. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, kitchen/dining area appropriate. Internet worked well. If anything negative/odd: tiny freezer/refrigerator, TV in bedroom, not the living area which is set up for TV viewing (but we weren't in Fort Davis for TV viewing), and 1st world issue, the toilet paper was super thin and poor quality, bought our own toilet paper to use."

"There was a small mouse on two occasions. No sign of infestation but the owner needs to make sure mice can not get in Bunkhouses. Not really unexpected to see a mouse because the setting is in the middle of a natural area on a ranch but owner needs to follow up before it becomes an issue Other than the mouse everything about the Bunkhouse was very good-clean, well set up, comfortable, amenities good. We would return for another stay at the High Frontier"

"Excellent location on the Main Street in town. Room was very spacious, clean had a nice courtyard. Nice amenities and comfortable bed & pillows. Very close to Davis Mountains State Park where we enjoyed hiking two days. Wish more of the restaurants, shops and coffeehouses were open."

Fossil+Folk House in the heart of Fort Davis

10/10 Excellent

"Great location under the Milky Way sky. Access to Balmorhea and McDonald Observatory lovely drive. I love how the three rooms are separated for privacy. We played records, played cards, enjoyed the comfortable living room and ample kitchen. There are spaces all around the yard to hang out. I would absolutely stay here again. Looking at all the art in the home is a fun museum in itself."
