"The reception at the front desk was less than cordial…maybe she was having a bad day, not sure! Rest of staff was friendly. Hotel is right on a sandy beach (Lake Michigan). Staff doesn’t seem to maintain it at all, but there are chairs and loungers and it is great for swimming (in the clean, calm, fresh water of Lk Michigan). Kids love it and it is safe. (No lifeguard.) Breakfast left a lot to be desired, but there are loads of options along the main drag. For dinner we loved Rusty Spike Brewery (also on Main Street and within walking distance)."

"Location was great, close to everything. Coffee maker produced a nasty scum making the coffee undrinkable. Refrigerator was unplugged and outlet breaker tripped requiring me to fix it before using refrigerator. Everything else was fine and staff was helpful."
