"We had a wonderful few days in this truly unique house. Everything went smoothly, and communication with the owner was very prompt and helpful. The house is in a league of its own :-) and the area has plenty to offer in terms of outdoor activities, so we’ll definitely be back."

"The place was recently renovated and is in impeccable condition. Everything works, and it has everything you need for a stay—actually, even more than that ;-) The immediate surroundings are a bit upscale, but there are some interesting buildings. So it’s great that this place is located on the edge of this neighborhood, right next to the forest. The terrace behind the house is absolutely quiet, and you’re right in the middle of nature. We planned to go out for a meal, but we liked it so much here that we ended up cooking for ourselves the whole time. It’s great that the fjord is just a 5-minute walk away, and we were able to use it for swimming and for our boats and SUPs. ...only then do you realize how quickly a week goes by."

"A very nice stay in Silkeborg. Lovely helpful staff at check-in. Nice and spacious suite 9 in the old building. I wouldn’t choose a room in the main building which has the feeling still of an old hospital in the corridors. The hotel has a very nice garden setting and peaceful location just outside the city centre and close to a beautiful lakeside swimming area. Easy parking onsite. Lovely lounge and bar area with board games for evening relaxing and nice breakfast room with outside over the gardens. Included breakfast was good but only available until 9:30am. Restaurant onsite is ok but expensive. Would stay again and recommend if booking the high tier room type."

"Great location for this historic hotel. Although there is parking behind the hotel it is not included in the room price and is expensive. The breakfast buffet was average. They ran out of the fresh loaves of bread and did not replenish them."
