Layers of volcanic ash, sandstone, and clay eventually dried up around 26 million years ago starting the erosion process creating toadstool. It is an ever changing landscape, eroding 1-2 inches each year. Fossils of ancient horses, Saber toothed cats, brontotheres and others are found here. It is an amazing historical place with seclusion and a quiet serenity #Adventure
