Casa Acero is Spanish for steel house and is located in a residential neighborhood on a quiet street within a 5 minute drive to everything Alpine. Constructed and decorated with mostly repurposed steel and other materials, the property has an industrial look and feel, inside and out. In addition to utilizing recycled construction materials, the house is powered with 100% renewable energy. This electricity powers three (3) mini-split units that provide both heating and cooling.

Inside amenities feature a fully stocked kitchen with all the tools you need to craft delicious meals, including a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, and more. Gather around the kitchen island or dine al fresco on the porch, taking in the peaceful surroundings. Stay connected with free 300 mb/s broadband Wifi , or enjoy a movie night on the smart TV while seated on a supple leather couch. When the day is done, retreat to the comfortable bedrooms, where you'll find plush linens and bedding items including luxurious mattresses (king-sized Tempur-Pedic Cloud Supreme & queen-sized Sleep Number 360). For laundry needs, you'll appreciate the convenience of the in-unit washer and dryer.

Outdoor enthusiasts will delight in the 4-person hot tub, cast iron fireplace, covered seating area, table, 4 chairs, and Weber propane BBQ grill. These amenities allow you to enjoy the cool mountain, starry skies, or simply soaking up the tranquil ambiance.

I have stayed here before and everything was just as good as last time. Derek is a great and communicative host. I did not use the hot tub but it looked clean. The location is near the university and close to dining. Nicely decorated and comfortable, a great place to stay.

The house is great and very clean and well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked with everything to cook a nice meal. Good appliances, and very well maintained house. The beds are great and the space overall is very comfortable. They have done a great job adding everything that you need and updating all of the rooms and bathrooms. The back yard worked out very well for us as we travel with our dog. A fantastic place with easy access to everything in town.

Perfect property to relax. Local memorabilia and historic items used in decorating very cool. Outdoor fireplace and hot tub with cafe table and chairs made visiting a dream. Open kitchen and living area made meals and lounging with family easy. All furnishings comfortable and thoughtful. We would stay here again!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We loved the Casa, it was very clean and and had everything we needed. I good quiet neighborhood, and away from noisy streets and train. Highly recommend this for a great getaway in the mountains of Texas.

Great house in beautiful West Texas

Very nice house, decorated with style and tastefulness, and stocked with what you need. Good quality appliances, dishes, etc. We spent a lot of time enjoying the hot tub and hanging out in the main living space. Host was very responsive and helpful!

Dog-friendly base for Big Bend National Park visit

Comfortable, well-stocked rental for a day trip to Big Bend National Park. Eclectic ranch/southwestern decor is interesting & relaxing. Fenced backyard for our fur kid to stretch his legs was nice to have after long car ride. Restaurants, galleries, etc. in Alpine are convenient, although not close enough to walk. Helpful, friendly communications with owners.

This house was perfect. Extremely clean and had everything we needed. A lot of thought went into the decorations - inside and out. Very nice neighborhood - people and families occasionally walking by. Almost no traffic. Highly recommended. Will stay here again!
