We were very happy with our stay here. The cottage is better than the pictures. The location is very peaceful, a short walk from a lovely beach, and perfect for exploring the eastern end of PEI.

Excellent property with anything available you need. Great indoor and outdoor space. Helpful support from the owner’s family next door. Great location with direct access to the water, easy access to the ferry, beaches, hikes, sites, superstore in Montague.

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful time in PEI staying at the cottage. It was a beautiful space and we loved watching the birds in the bay and exploring the nearby beach at low tide. We had absolutely no issues but knew that Dave would be happy to help if we did. Would definitely return!

Peaceful retreat

This peaceful spot on the river has walkable access to the ocean and is and easy access to everything east of Charlottetown. The cottage is beautiful and the hosts warm and attentive. Despite several days of rain our trip was delightful -- whether adventuring for hikes or reading novels by the stove.

Kid friendly

Our second time there! We love the property. We have three kids (4 year old, 2 year old and 9 month old) and it is so kid friendly! The nearby beach access is wonderful and plenty of room for the little ones to play. The property manager is friendly and helpful. We will be back!

July 2024 Vacation

Beautiful well kept cottage about 10mins. From Souris and 20mins from national park. Local Beach with in walking distance. Used the kakaks in the local bay right in front of cottage.

Thanksgiving Wedding

This property was immaculate. Very spacious, modern kitchen , fully equipped with every utensil if you are inclined to cook. One of our days was rainly and cool , the propane fireplace was cozy. I bòoked for a wedding that was close by. My husband, and my adult children . They absolutely loved it, and want to book themselves to stay for next summer. This place is truly a gem.

This was our favorite vacation rental, The house was immaculate. The kitchen well stocked. The host and his father very nice and so helpful. The house was gorgeous. The view was amazing. So relaxing and so tranquil. On our last day there were 5 herons in front of the property. It was full moon when we stayed and the moonlight over the water was gorgeous,

The property was amazing. Very clean and well equipped. Loved the open layout and wrap around deck. We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck overlooking river, the beautiful tree provided shade and privacy. Master suite was spacious and private. David was very kind and helpful! We strongly recommend and hope to stay again sometime!

Amazing cottage with amazing views

The cottage is spacious, clean and very well set up. In addition to the basics that make for a great stay we had access to kayaks, beach chairs & beach towels, games, books & puzzles.We couldn’t wait to get back and unwind after busy days touring the island. It was so cozy, comfortable and peaceful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely place to stay

Great location to relax! We loved the beach nearby (2 min drive). The owner’s were so nice to our kids, even gave them toys to play with. We will definitely be looking to stay again :)

Our stay in the property was great. The house was exactly as described. Very well equipped. Brent’s father Dave was very helpful and even got us lobsters for our final dinner. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great views, great cottage, lovely booking experience

Lovely cottage ... house, really, appointed better than our own home, in some ways. King bed was amazingly comfortable. Windows all around made for a bright and cheary interior. And beautiful deck with marvelous views of Fortune Bay. Booking with owner was easy. Well worth the trip!

Perfect Getaway

Stayed for 1 week in early June. Absolutely loved the cottage. It had everything you could need so was very comfortable. Dave was there to greet us, check us in, and even offered to cook us a pair of lobsters! He even had suggestions for what local spots to check out and his advice did not disappoint. Great place, would recommend, and will stay again.

Wish we had stayed longer

What a gem this place is! The house was a perfect place for me, my kids and their spouses, six of us fit really well and everybody could find a space to be alone if they wanted it. All you need to cook and entertain or come back to after exploring. Dave was an incredible contact, very responsive, knowledgeable and friendly and gave us great tips on things to do. We had an amazing lobster dinner thanks to him, the kids will talk about that for a while :). Definitely recommend.

Should get 6 stars for the level of provisioning

In addition to all the other wonderful comments I was so surprised and pleased with level of provisioning. I love to cook especially when there is so much wonderful seafood to buy from the wharf. Absolutely everything I could have wanted was there. I would mention if you don’t plan to cook that local restaurants close much earlier than I am used to. We just planned accordingly. Thanks for you hospitality.

Perfect for a Family Stay in PEI!

My husband and I and our four children ages 2 through 9 spent a week at this wonderful cottage. The wood interior and furnishings are beautiful, the kitchen well equipped, good laundry machines, lots of towels, and the whole place was very clean. The two bedrooms with the two twin beds plus the Master bedroom was a great layout for us all to get some sleep. The owner and his family were very pleasant and gave us some good pointers on visiting the area. They also let us use their kayaks and the quiet waters allowed for my 9 year old to paddle his own kayak for the first time! We enjoyed the many beaches in the region including the local "front beach" which is just around the corner from the cottage. We cooked meals in the cottage and also enjoyed a number of nice restaurants in Souris and neighbouring towns. We stopped in at a local ceilidh one evening which was a lot of fun too - not to mention the fishing tour with MacNeill's! This cottage is a wonderful place to stay in the east end of PEI with lots to enjoy.

Relaxing stay in beautiful clean cottage

It was cold and rainy when we arrived - fireplace was on when we walked in and it was very inviting !! We were 2 couples - one stayed in master bedroom with ensuite and the other side of cottage had 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each - with another bathroom for those 2 bedrooms to share. It was nice to have 2 separate sleeping areas, and the living room, kichen and dining room were a great shared space. We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire and playing games at the table. Brent's father Dave purchased and cooked lobster for us one day - best, freshest lobster we've ever had !! What a wonderful experience!!!! (fortunately we were there in lobster season - June). We had some chats with Dave who is very personable and a joy to visit with - answered all our PEI questions 😀 All communication with Brent was always answered very quickly. There are kayaks available, but weather too cold and windy while we were there. We would book again without hesitation!! We all loved staying there !!
