"This is a lovely boutique size hotel on an amazing beach. The rooms are bungalow style and seem to have been updated in terms of beds/bedding/fixtures. So nice. The location right on the beach is special. The small size means there was never an issue with loungers or places to hang out. The staff are a highlight. So friendly and helpful. Several restaurants and shops are right outside. Walk for miles on the sandy beach."

"My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel from Feb 4-12, 2026. Despite reading some negative reviews, we had an amazing experience, especially the service from our Expedia rep Erik Medina. We stayed in building 10, 2nd floor. It was less noisy than the main floor (golf carts come and go here). Overall, the noise was not a huge issue but I'd suggest ear plugs if you're a light sleeper as you can sometimes hear both people and birds in the early hours of the night. We had a junior king room and it was perfect, clean and mattress/pillows were very comfortable. Everything worked as expected. The grounds are very well maintained and the sitting areas had nice, new furniture both indoors and outside. Be prepared to run into some spider monkeys, coati and occasional cats and racoons! There are lots of birds chirping around as well. There are 3 main unheated pools. We found them all very clean and we appreciated that there always seemed to be lounge chairs available throughout the day. No racing to reserve chairs! We found the staff always pleasant and attentive to our needs and requests. Customer service was a pleasure. We went to all but one a-la-carte restaurants (seafood as we couldn't fit it in) but we did make all of our reservations right after we arrived which I highly recommend as early times fill up quickly (schedule opens each Wed am) The food/drinks were excellent! I would highly recommend this resort! We plan to go back again if possible."

Our Butler Julio took especially great care of our needs, from making dinner reservations, to suggesting different activities, to making sure we were always comfortable. "The number one thing that stood out to my Wife and I was the customer service. The staff was actually happy to have us and you could feel it. The food and drinks were good too. The scenery/ aesthetics was absolutely beautiful which prompted us to do a great photo shoot with Enersto and was so good!! The photos turned out amazing!! Thank you to Isabella (Front desk), Juan (Bailsman), Erick (Spanish class), Benito (drink waiter on the beach). And of the housekeepers and plenty of other nice staff that we didn't quite catch your name but we felt your positive energy. The beach was beautiful and not much seaweed at all and they cleaned it daily! This was a Valentine trip for my Wife and I and you all exceeded our expectations. Gracias!! "

"My stay at Shibari was amazing. It was hard to leave this place as it was such a unique and truly magical spot. The included breakfast is top notch and the service was amazing. The only negative thing about it is on the weekends you can get some noise from the nearby clubs until 2am. This doesn’t bother me as I often wear ear plugs when I sleep. And any hotel near the club zone has this same problem so it’s just a downside to staying within walking distance of that zone. I would definitely stay here again. "
