First time out of the United States and we were warmly welcomed. Very clean rooms, great location, complimentary dessert items, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend a stay here, especially if you’re on a budget!

A pleasant stay
This is a good location within easy walking distance to public transportation that can take you anywhere. The underground parking is convenient once you figure it out. The room we stayed in was quiet if just a little bit cramped. However what made the stay special was the friendly desk manager. A tall gentleman he was friendly and helpful and made the stay extra pleasant.

Property is a liile out of the way as it was about a mile and a half from the Opera House. However, I was able to easily walk there. Christmas Markets were in full swing, which was great. Area felt very safe. Room was clean and was very quiet. Breakfast was great, except for the day the coffee machine wasn't working. The little Italian restaurant nearby (mostly a take away place) had excellent food. Taxi was a little pricey to get there from the train station. I used Bolt on the way back, which was much more reasonable.

The room was comfortable and clean and seemed to be newly renovated. There was a large window to open to a park like area with a beautiful sunset and birdsongs. We didn’t have the breakfast which was 16euros. It was a few minute walk to the #14 team which goes to downtown and the train station.

Hotel Alexander am zoo - Frankfurt
Very calm quiet hotel providing comfortable rooms and a super good breakfast very nice staff - quiet location but easy and convenient for selection of transport links 15 minutes stroll to main shops (3mins to supermarket and bakers) 5mins from underground stations also trams close by - would recommend we will use again

Property feels dated. It is advertised that they have Steam and Sauna which is why we selected this hotel but both we not operational. The breakfast was below average and were not accommodating to vegan/vegetarian requests saying "We are a German hotel and this is all we have". We had to regularly request for soap, tissues etc. because it was not properly stocked in the room during daily housekeeping. Location is average. Check-in and Check-out was quick.

This was my umpteenth time staying at Hotel Alexander! Meanwhile It’s my home away from home when in Frankfurt. Always consistently and predictably clean, organized, welcoming, professional and breakfast included!

The sweets at the reception and the beds were comfortable and clean. They also changed the sheets and washed the bathrooms daily. It is also reasonably priced for what they offer

The Breakfast buffet was amazing, could use some Salsa as a condiment for the eggs. Checking in was fast as well as checking out. Will be returning for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice hotel, wonderful breakfast and very helpful staff. Good location just near the Zoo - one night we hear th lions roaring! Definitely look to stay again

Delightful find in Frankfurt
The Alexander bills itself as a fine small hotel in the city and it is just that. Nice attention to design. Quite comfortable and very good value. Nice breakfast! Friendly and courteous staff. Lovely to hear the birds in the nearby zoo in the morning. Close to a tram line into center city. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend!
I think this was my fourth or fifth stay at Hotel Alexander where I spent 6 nights while in Frankfurt. The hotel is in a very convenient location, clean, quiet, great breakfast and excellent coffee and while I didn't use it, there is an exercise room and sauna in the basement. (Only suggestion I can make to improve the breakfast buffet would be to not boil the eggs so long....they are too hard) Everything is really very pleasant and I will be back again on my next stay in Frankfurt.
