"The property was beautiful and the hosts were very helpful! It was the perfect spot for a getaway with friends! The location was perfect as it was a short drive from town and right on a gorgeous lake, where we had access to canoes and kayaks. We went on a few gorgeous hikes around the area (Whiteside Mountain, High Falls, and Rainbow Fallls at Gorges National Park). I highly recommend staying here, and I can’t wait to book my next trip!"

"The Treehouse Suite at The Calhoun House is a great property. This particular suite is located in a separate building from the other suites, which was ideal for us, as we had our baby and toddler with us. We did not worry about disturbing other guests if he cried or was a little loud. Edward was amazing as we checked in. "In desperate need of repair. If you need a clean bed to sleep in, clean towels, and friendly check in staff then this is the place. The bonus is stained furniture, non working in room coffee maker, bathroom sink that backs up or a surprise granola bar under the couch beside an empty pop bottle, then this is your place!"

"I really have to say that we had an amazing time for our Anniversary. The communication with the host was amazing. Everything was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. would have liked a TV in the bedroom but that's not a complain. Loved the area.The only complaint we have is that we had issues with our vehicle that we had to get it fixed before we headed back home. Besides that everything was great . I definitely recommend. We will definitely be back in Feb 2027. "

"Awesome mountain home with plenty of space for our family of 5 adults. Loved all the decks and the fire pit - fantastic views of the mountains from every vantage point. The location provides a multitude of outdoor activities as well as easy access to several quaint NC/N Georgia towns for shopping and dining. Highly recommended, hope to return next year!"

"We love vacationing to the smoky mountains and this is one of my favorite cabins I’ve stayed! We saw deer nearly every morning, and the wrap around porch made for wonderful relaxing outside time. I loved the Appalachian stick furniture/art throughout the cabin, and plenty of entertainment for everyone. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat this place is perfect "

"Our stay here was very relaxing. The home is very old and that gives it such personality. Loved the old furniture, pictures, decorations, etc. Our host made an amazing breakfast with homemade strawberry jam and whipped cream. Would stay here again next time we go to Franklin!"
