"House is perfect for families and in a great location - literally steps from the beach and a short walk to the Cloister. Host was wonderful and extremely responsive. The bathrooms and kitchen are very dated and, more important, needed to be cleaned better."
Stunning Marsh View Pool Retreat on St. Simons Island

"We had a wonderful week here! The pool was absolutely beautiful and easily one of the highlights of the property. The kids also loved fishing from the marsh and were thrilled to catch a few catfish.The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everyday essentials, including spices, sugar, olive oil, vinegars, and more. We especially appreciated the thoughtful system of leaving useful items on a designated shelf for the next guests. There were also plenty of beach towels for our large group, and the fresh-cut flowers left by the host were such a lovely and welcoming touch.The game room was a huge hit with the kids, and the sofa was very comfortable for relaxing, although it is quite low to the ground and was difficult for the elderly guests in our group to get in and out of.The wildlife around the marsh was incredible. We saw egrets, herons, and more varieties of birds than we could name. The most memorable visitors were two great horned owls that frequently perched in a tree above the pool and “hooed” back and forth conversationally each evening. It was such a unique and special experience.This was a beautiful, well-equipped home with so many thoughtful details, and our family made some wonderful memories here."
